The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Football Team both entered their matching Week 9 bye weeks with a loss.

While the Bucs fell to the New Orleans Saints, the WFT fell to the Denver Broncos. But that's about where the similarities end for these two teams in a rematch from last year's NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

With the Buccaneers at 6-2 and Washington at 2-6, one team has continued on the path towards postseason relevance while the other has failed to show even a glimpse of the preseason hype surrounding the team.

Quarterback Taylor Heinicke was a fan favorite after nearly orchestrating an upset win in January of 2021, and now has many wondering what the future holds for the WFT's most important position on the field.

All of this makes it less likely Washington will get their revenge, but injuries to Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski, and Chris Godwin threaten to leave Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady without his full arsenal of weapons.

This could be just the opportunity wide receiver Tyler Johnson needs to make his mark on a game this season, and a big showing from him would help the Buccaneers get back in the win column after digesting their loss in Week 8, for two weeks now.

In that loss, linebacker Devin White had a particularly rough outing while letting his emotions get the better of him, leading to multiple penalties. Veteran teammate Lavonte David mentored the young linebacker this week, and we expect a much cleaner, and impactful game from the third-year NFL player.

James Yarcho and Chris Russell join forces this week to preview the Buccaneers and the Washington Football Team ahead of their week ten matchup on this Crossover Thursday episode!

Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Football Team are coming out of their bye week and preparing for a rematch of the 2020 NFC Wild Card game where the Bucs emerged victorious on their way to winning Super Bowl LV. This time around, things tend to be pointing towards the Buccaneers as well.

The Washington Football Team has struggled on the defensive side of the ball, ranking dead last in the NFL against the pass while giving up almost 29 points per game, which ranks 29th. For the Bucs, it's all about the injuries. Even though Sean Murphy-Bunting and Scotty Miller have returned to practice, that doesn't mean that they'll play this week. All the while Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski seem unlikely to see any action this week. In Brown's case, it could be a while longer before he sets foot on the field, sparking the return of wide receiver Breshad Perriman to the Tampa Bay practice squad.

The Bucs are heavy favorites in this one, coming into week ten at -10 according to BetOnline while the Over/Under sits at 51.5. The oddsmakers are expecting a lot of scoring in this - and who could blame them? However, can the Bucs continue to overcome injuries and penalty problems or did a week off after the loss to the New Orleans Saints cause more harm than good?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul tweeted out Tuesday that he's dealing with the worst injury of his career. In a stretch coming up where the Buccaneers need to get their pass rush situation back on track, what are the implications of JPP's hinderance and what could the long term implications be for the 2022 NFL Season?

With just about everything going right for the Bucs during their week off, we take a look at the NFC playoff landscape as the Buccaneers try to work their way back to the number one seed, securing a first round bye in the 2021 NFL Playoffs. In order to do so, the Bucs have to surpass the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams as well as the Green Bay Packers. With the Cardinals firmly holding onto the top spot and the Rams having the head-to-head tiebreaker, we take a look at the paths of those two NFC West teams and where some of the losses may come from that the Buccaneers need in order to move into the top spot.

Coming off a loss and out of the bye week, the Buccaneers are preparing to take on the Washington Football Team. As the bye week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers comes to an end, we are joined by the Sports Director of 10 Tampa Bay to talk about some things we like, things we don't like, and things we are looking forward to.

The Bucs came out of the first half of their season in first place in the NFC South, sitting at 6-2 but coming off a brutal loss to their division rival New Orleans Saints. What were some of the best moments and players that helped catapult that record to what it is? And where were some of the shortcomings that caused this team to struggle against two of the three playoff caliber teams they faced?

Heading into the second half of the year, the Buccaneers kick things off against a pair of NFC East teams in the Washington Football Team and New York Giants before heading into a difficult stretch of three playoff caliber teams in four games. We assess what the Buccaneers need to do in order to come out on top in those games and what direction the Bucs should be heading in after an important bye week.

Health has been an issue all season and it will continue to be but hopefully in the opposite fashion as the first half. Tampa Bay will begin to see players returning from injury as the Bucs strive to be at full strength down the stretch and into the postseason. What, besides health, should be viewed as the most important thing for the Buccaneers coming out of the bye week?

Finally, we hand out a few mid-season awards and point to the player that needs to have the biggest second half of the season to help the team get back on track for another championship run.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue their struggles against the New Orleans Saints during the regular season, dropping yet another one inside the Superdome 36-27. Tom Brady, despite throwing for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns, turned the ball over three times with the final one being the nail in the coffin as P.J. Williams returned it for a touchdown.

Chris Godwin finished with a season high 140 yards on eight catches, adding in a touchdown that gave the Bucs the early 7-0 lead, but it was third string quarterback Trevor Siemian that led the charge for New Orleans once Jameis Winston left the game with a knee injury. Siemian got the Saints out to a 23-7 lead early in the second half before Brady and the Buccaneers offense stormed back to take a 27-26 lead.

In the end, the defense couldn't get the job done, allowing the Saints to march down the field for a go ahead field goal before the ill timed pick six put the game out of reach with under 1:40 to play.

The biggest story surrounding this one was the penalties. The Buccaneers accounted for eleven of the game's thirteen penalties, awarding the Saints six free first downs because of lapses in judgement by the defense. One penalty - an early roughing the passer call - negated an interception in the end zone by Antoine Winfield Jr. that could have swung the game in the Bucs' favor in the second quarter. Though officiating was not the reason the Buccaneers lost this game, some suspect calls - or non-calls - certainly played into it. Through 24 games in the regular season, Tom Brady has turned the ball over against the Saints eight times in three games, while turning the ball over just twelve times in the other 21 games.

The Bucs have now lost six regular season matchups in a row, their last win coming in week one of 2018 where they were led by Ryan Fitzpatrick. With the Buccaneers headed for the bye week, they have time to continue to get healthy and get some things figured out on both sides of the ball.

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare to take on the New Orleans Saints, we take one final look at the upcoming game to see who's in, who's out, and the keys to victory.

For the Bucs, it appears as though they will be getting Rob Gronkowski back, who hasn't played since week three against the Los Angeles Rams, and they may see the returns of Richard Sherman and Lavonte David. One player that they will not have is Antonio Brown, who was spotted at practice with a crutch as he continues to deal with an ankle injury. Head coach Bruce Arians is not optimistic that Brown will be back soon - luckily, the Bucs have their bye week coming up after this Sunday's game.

For the Saints, they will be a little more vulnerable along the offensive line with Andrus Peat out the rest of the season with a pectoral injury. That means the Bucs' pass rush will be able to get after Jameis Winston a little easier than normal.

With the trade deadline approaching, we have a listener call in about a potential trade they came across and if we believed the Buccaneers would make any moves ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline. Another listener voices his frustration that the national media isn't showing the Buccaneers any love for the early struggles of the Kansas City Chiefs. Did the Buccaneers lay out the blueprint in Super Bowl LV as to how to defeat the Chiefs and now, just eight months later, has everyone forgotten?

Finally, we lay out some predictions for the game Sunday. Who are going to be the standout players for the Bucs against the Saints? Will the defense be able to force mistakes from Jameis Winston and shut down Alvin Kamara, even with all the injuries in the secondary? What is the final score going to be?
