Dodgers scored first with a bases loaded walk but the Giants tied the game on a Matt Chapman Home Run and broke it open in the 8th with 6 runs, 5 of which were charge to Yohan Ramirez who was only able to manage 2 outs. Tyler Glasnow took the loss in his return form the IL going 5 giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 4.

The Dodgers won their fifth game in a row behind a strong performance from Landon Knack and some big hits from Shohei Ohtani and Gavin Lux. Ohtani came through multiple times for the offense, and Lux continued his resurgence at the plate. Do we believe in Lux fully yet? Also, the Dodgers have officially been linked to Randy Arozarena. Is he a fit for the Dodgers and is there anyone else from the Rays that make sense? Lastly, Ryan Yarbrough's struggles have continued and Brent Honeywell has done well so far. The Dodgers should use Honeywell in a long relief role and also move one of the younger arms to a similar role. What do you think?

Gavin Lux stayed hot with 2 hits including a 2 rbi double in the 1st to get the Dodgers on the board and give Landon Knack a little cushion. Shohei Ohtani struck out 3 times but also drove in 3 with a double and a single. Landon Knack had a quality start going 5 striking out 6 and allowing just 1 run on 2 hits for his 2nd win.

The Dodgers won their fourth straight game behind the bat of Teoscar Hernández and a strong MLB debut from River Ryan. Hernández drove in all three runs for the Dodgers, and has appeared to avoid 'ruining' his swing doing the HR Derby. He's been clutch for the team a few different times this season. Ryan pitched into the 6th inning for the first time in his professional career and was very efficient. There's always room for improvement and we'll see if he gets the chance for another go in the rotation. Lastly, the Dodgers designated James Paxton for assignment. The move was a bit surprising but ultimately makes the most sense for the team.

Dodgers rookie pitcher River Ryan made his major league debut, he had good command and was very efficient going 5 1/3 allowing 1 unearned run on just 4 hits. Teoscar Hernandez did all the heavy lifting at the plate with all 3 rbi. Home Run #21 the he had the go ahead rbi in the 6th knocking in Freddie Freeman who had walked and then he put them ahead to stay in the 8th with an rbi single scoring Kike Hernandez who had doubled to lead of the inning. 3-2 the final.

The Dodgers started the second half of the season with a sweep of the Red Sox. There was a lot of excitement over the weekend but the biggest one may have been Shohei Ohtani's majestic blast on Sunday. He nearly hit it over the pavilion in right center and the ball traveled 473 feet. It was a sight to see. While Sunday's win was relatively convincing, it took some late-game heroics in the first two games in order to secure victories. Freddie Freeman and Kiké Hernández delivered the biggest hits. Also, this week against the Giants will be fun for Dodgers pitching as we'll see River Ryan's MLB debut, Tyler Glasnow's return and Clayton Kershaw's season debut. Lastly, Evan Phillips has struggled of late. Are we concerned? And Miguel Rojas injury and James Paxton's continued up-and-down season.

It was a shaky first for James Paxton but he settled in after that striking out 7 Red Sox for his 8th win. The Dodgers had a Home Run brigade with 6 in all. It started with a solo shot from Freddie Freeman, then Teoscar Hernandez and Gavin Lux with solo jobs, then Austin Barnes hit his first of the season followed by Shohei Ohtani who nearly hit one out of the stadium 473 ft and Jason Heyward had a 2 run shot in the 8th. 9-6 the final.

A back and forth battle at Chavez Ravine for the Dodgers and Red Sox. Kike Hernandez came off the bench with 2 clutch game tying hits. First a home run off of Kenley Jansen in the 9th to tie the game at 4. Then after the Red Sox regained the lead 6-4 on a 2nd homer from Tyler Oneil, the Dodgers would answer back in the bottom of the 10th with an RBI double from Andy Pages and an RBI single from Kike Hernandez to level the game at 6. Blake Treinen held the Red Sox scoreless in the top of 11 and in the bottom after intentionally walking Shohei Ohtani to load the bases Will Smith singled to center for the walk off win. Gavin lux had a 2 hit night with a Homer and a double and Justin Wrobleski had a solid performance on the mound going 4 1/3 allowing no runs on 3 hits and striking out 5.

The Dodgers did a whole lot of nothing for 7 innings until Miguel Vargas walked to leadoff the 8th inning. That was followed by a Shohei Ohtani double down the left field line and a Will Smith intentional walk which set up and motivated Freddie Freeman who went deep on a 0-1 slider for his 7th career Grand Slam and 15th of the season. Gavin Stone went 5.0 giving up 1 run on 6 hits.

The final day of the All-Star break brings an episode talking about a report that the Dodgers may be trying to get Garrett Crochet, Luis Robert and maybe Michael Kopech from the White Sox. How would we feel about that happening? Also, Teoscar Hernández only had one of his Dodgers teammates around when he actually won the Home Run Derby. Does that matter at all? Lastly, the 2025 schedule was released and the Dodgers are for sure going to start the season in Japan. Start saving your pennies.
