If you weren't a fan of NHL hockey or postseason action before Monday night, you definitely are now. The Vancouver Canucks, first and foremost, are in serious trouble if starting netminder Thatcher Demko is indeed set to miss potentially a prolonged period of time with another knee injury. We'll talk more about that on Thursday's episode but for Wednesday, we focus on the Toronto Maple Leafs responding with a massive win and performance from Auston Matthews against the Boston Bruins.
The other topics the boys touch on for Wednesday's brand-new episode is the Carolina Hurricanes poised to sweep away the New York Islanders after a big Game 2 performance from Seth Jarvis, Sebastian Aho, and Jake Guentzel. Steele and Flip also dive into the Edmonton Oilers complete smack show of the L.A. Kings and what it means for the potential chances of the Oilers to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup.

The chase for the Stanley Cup has arrived, and with it Flip and Steele are breaking down every single playoff series round by round while serving up their series X-Factors, best bets, series winners and in how many games, starting with the Atlantic Division that features two juicy matchups. First the Tampa Bay Lightning taking on the Florida Panthers in the battle of Florida that is sure to feature some intense action from start to finish.
Can Tampa Bay's experience and Cup caliber reign and will Andrei Vasilevskiy be an X-factor like Steele predicts? The Panthers have struggled a bit down the stretch and considering the fortress that Amalie Arena has been for the Lightning, this could be a very close series from the very beginning. Speaking of which, the Boston Bruins once again take on their "rival" Toronto Maple Leafs, even though the Bruins have basically dominated the Maple Leafs in both the NHL playoffs and regular season. Steele and Flip are both backing the Leafs and both think the Lightning have a good chance over the Panthers, only time will tell.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are in the air and so is a mix of the top stories from around the hockey world that we break down and analyze on the Tuesday episode of the Locked On Fantasy Hockey Podcast. Including the latest on Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers and also the impending return of starting netminder of the Vancouver Canucks in Thatcher Demko. Both will obviously be key pieces of both teams' playoff push and both will not have much time to regain game shape. Especially Demko who has been out since early March.
Steele and Flip also dig into the meat and potatoes of Tuesday's episode by discussing what is currently impacting the ability of the Colorado Avalanche to get wins, something they've only done in three of their last 10 games at the most critical time of the season. Is Alexander Georgiev pooched already after playing far too many regular season games? Another team being looked at in depth is the New York Rangers, an original-six club that just set a franchise record in wins with 54 and is looking for the Presidents' Trophy.

With the Vegas Golden Knights inking Noah Hanifin to a long-term contract extension on Thursday, they made a big step in securing what is already a beast mode blue line of bruising bad boys - but are they big and bad enough to lock down the final Western Conference playoff spot and make another deep run at the Stanley Cup? With teams like the St. Louis Blues still with a very realistic shot at winning out and taking the spot, only time will tell over the coming days as the season winds to a close.
We dive into the Blues a little deeper and give some credit to the two biggest reasons this club is still alive in the western race: Jordan Binnington and Robert Thomas, both of whom are having excellent years while proving they both still carry a ton of fantasy hockey value heading into next season.
