The shooting guard position has rarely been kind to the Charlotte Hornets or the Charlotte Bobcats. The '15-'16 Hornets are hoping to turn back this trend with newly acquired guard Nicolas Batum.
Without a wealth of options, our discussion turns into a debate of legacy vs. skill. Should Dell Curry's role as team ambassador be taken into account. Should starters get more consideration than prominent role players? How should fans remember Stephen Jackson's roller coaster time in Charlotte?

Doug and David make their picks at point guard for the Hornets All-Time Team. What's Baron Davis' place in Hornets history? Who's the better height-challenged Hornets point guard, Kemba or Muggsy? Listen and let us know what you think on twitter and facebook @HiveTalkLive.

The Hornets released their schedule on Wednesday along with the rest of the league. While the NBA blessed them with less back to backs (16) and zero 4 games in 5 night stretches, the Hornets were once again locked out of the national TV spotlight and face a brutal opening slate.
Doug and David hop back in the audio booth to discuss what to takeaway from the schedule and what not to get carried away with. Including:
Should the Hornets have been given more national TV games?
Is the road ahead for the Hornets tougher than last season or easier?
What will the Hornets record look like after their first 10 games?
Listen below and as always share your comments below and on twitter @HiveTalkLive. Hive Talk Live returns to their regular season schedule on September 1st at 6:00pm. Tune in right here on At The Hive.

Rich Cho once again ripped Doug and David out of their vacation to talk about the Hornets seemingly endless offseason. The Hornets added a fifth big that will be familiar to some local fans, all too familiar for some that aren't fans of Carolina Blue. Former Pacer, Raptor and yes...Tarheel...Tyler Hansbrough trades it all in for teal and purple but questions swirl around the 15th man on the roster. Does he make up for the loss of Bismack Biyombo? Is this just a stunt to put fans in the seats?
PLUS we discuss who has the most to lose and most to gain when training camp starts in late September. And we announce what we'll be up to in August while we take another on-air break.

The Charlotte Hornets have made a series of moves this offseason but none hotter than signing free agent point guard Jeremy Lin. He brings a long millions of loyal fans worldwide. Is it a stretch to call Jeremy Lin the most popular Hornets player? Lin was introduced by the Hornets on Monday and had some interesting things to say about his role in Charlotte and how the city is already embracing him (maybe a little too tightly). We'll discuss our rules of celebrity engagement.
Listen for more on Lin and the signing of Andrew Harrison. Can the former Kentucky Wildcat make it through training camp and earn a roster spot? Where does that leave Brian Roberts?
PLUS Summer League offered fans more than just a look at the next generation of Hornets players, it also came with a brand new way to handle overtime. Should the strange new rules make their way to the NBA?
It's Hornets talk for the hardcore fan, it's Hive Talk Live.

The Hornets finally broke out of their free agency slumber with the signing of point guard Jeremy Lin. Lin has a massive fanbase, unique set of skills and a story that captivated the nation only a few years ago.
Nick Denning joins Doug to discuss why Charlotte made sense for Jeremy Lin, why Jeremy Lin makes sense for the Hornets and the dollars and cents behind the deal.

The Hornets may be playing to quiet in free agency but things in Orlando are heating up. Fans got their first professional look at Frank Kaminsky but he may not be the most impressive Hornet to suit up for Summer League action.
Listen to find out who could get a surprise training camp invite and what popular name could be shooting his way out the door.
