The New York Mets won their home opener in dramatic, yet controversial, fashion, as Michael Conforto had a walk-off hit-by-pitch. Still, that ending shouldn't take away from some other key contributions from the Mets, as Taijuan Walker had an excellent first start and Jeff McNeil hit a game-tying home run in the ninth.

The New York Mets earned their first victory of the season on Tuesday, behind some great pitching from Marcus Stroman and eight runs scored by the offense. Dominic Smith and Pete Alonso each homered, showcasing some of the promise this lineup has in 2021.

The bullpen is still a concern for the Mets however, as no one has looked great coming out of the pen so far this year. What has to change with the way Luis Rojas manages the bullpen to improve their success this season?

Today is Opening Day 2.0, as the New York Mets finally get to start their 2021 season!

Along with previewing the first series of the season, we spend the show focusing on Jacob deGrom's legacy with the Mets and his next contract with the club.

Reports came out over the weekend that suggest deGrom and the team had preliminary discussions this spring about an extension, but those talks have died down for now. What will it eventually take to keep deGrom in the blue and orange for the rest of his career and how many years of elite performance does he have left?

The New York Mets have to wait a few more days to start the 2021 season, as the Washington Nationals are dealing with a COVID outbreak that has postponed Opening Day. In the meantime, Mets fans still have the Francisco Lindor extension to celebrate as he spoke with the media on Thursday.

Along with reacting to some of the audio from Lindor's presser, host Ryan Finkelstein finishes his preseason power rankings of the NL East by analyzing the bullpens, benches and backstops in the division.
