The Cleveland Browns may not be a good football team, but they are always interesting and nothing could bring them to the forefront more than a Myles Garrett trade. After a recent contract change, Garrett being on the move is more likely now than ever before. A trade could make a lot of sense for NFC teams like the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. The Browns would be perfectly set to rebuild with their quarterback of choice in 2027. The Baltimore Ravens are solely worried about 2026 and need to sure up some obvious weak spots on the roster if they hope to return to the playoffs. The Cincinnati Bengals are also trying to make it back to the playoffs and need a leader on defense if they hope to do so. They may very well find it in the NFL Draft. Finally, the Pittsburgh Steelers did well this offseason, but not for this year, for the future. If the Steelers can actually find their future passer in 2027, they have a roster that can support a winner immediately.

The NFC East has been a wild division for most of NFL History and 2026 figures to be no different, but the craziest thing that could happen is the Philadelphia Eagles trading AJ Brown. While Brown has his downfalls, he is still a dominant force and losing him, even for a nice return in a trade, would severely hurt the Eagles chances of getting back to the big game. The New York Giants are hoping to get back to their respected ways and the offseason they have had so far is a nice step towards that. The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get defensive this offseason and they have accomplished that, but what they have done so far is simply not enough to boost them back to the playoffs. The Washington Commanders took big swings to try and get their squad back on track, but not enough has been done around Jayden Daniels so far to get him back to his rookie season status.

The NFC South is one of the most interesting divisions in football, not because it is so supremely talent, but because it feels like any team could take the crown in 2027. That includes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who had a letdown 2025 that could turn into a bounce back in 2026. There are still questions, but the Bucs may have enough even with the retirement of Lavonte David at linebacker. The New Orleans Saints may be the team that is next up after a strong finish to last season. However, the Saints still have some key needs at very important positions. The Atlanta Falcons also have high expectations, but not as high as the dollar amount Bijan Robinson is about to get this offseason if the Falcons are smart. Regardless, the quarterback situation does temper those expectations some. Finally, the Carolina Panthers actually won the division last year and responded by hitting all of their key needs in free agency. The Panthers probably deserve more respect than they get.
