Locked On Nuggets - Daily Podcast On The Denver Nuggets

In this episode, I share my notes on Denver's loss to the Houston Rockets. Mason Plumlee continued to play great on both ends but did his 17 minutes reveal something about Michael Malone's thinking? Gary Harris had a rare off night but the last time the Nuggets played the Rockets, Harris was off. I explore that topic as well as several others in this quick hitting episode.

In this episode, I share my noes on an incredible win over the Spurs in Denver despite an enormous free throw disparity and some bad luck. Nikola Jokic tallied his 3rd straight triple-double behind an absolutely brilliant game. Gary Harris stepped into another huge shot in the 4th quarter. Wilson Chandler did EVERYTHING for the Nuggets. And Mason Plumlee provided the perfect ending to his first game back in action in weeks. All that on a night when the Nuggets remembered the legends of what was arguably the best era of Nuggets basketball.

In this episode, I make the case for each of Denver's potential starting lineups now that Mason Plumlee is healthy and back on the court. Plumlee has become one of the defensive anchors for the Nuggets but the team has found a groove in his absence on he offensive end. I make the case that his return could very well spell the perfect balance of offensive brilliance quarterbacked by Nikola Jokic and defensive clout behind Plumlee.

In this episode, I am joined by Andy Bailey, writer for Bleacher Report and FanRag Sports and host of the Hardwood Knocks podcast. The two of us discuss DIII Hoops, the influence of KG and Hakeem, and a few other odds and ends before moving on to a long and interesting discussion on the Denver Nuggets. Bailey provides some interesting stats to explain why he thinks the Nuggets have one-of-if-not-the best young cores in the entire NBA. He shares his outlook on Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Gary Harris and then dishes on why he thinks this Nuggets team will get even better with the return of Paul Millsap.

Roughly every 10 games, I like to step back and look at the recent trends for the Denver Nuggets and the main players in the rotation. I call these episodes 10 in 10. In this episode, I evaluate the historic stretch of basketball by Nikola Jokic, the deadly trio of Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, and Will Barton, the recent resurgence of Wilson Chandler, contemplate where Devin Harris will fit in, and much more.

This is a great episode to listen to if you haven't been following the Nuggets all year and want to see what they've been up to lately. It's also great if you have been watching but appreciate a deeper dive into the recent trends.

In this episode, I share notes on Nikola Jokic's historic triple-double performance against the Milwaukee Bucks. Jokic has been playing his best basketball of the season over the last 12 games but this was the cherry on top of an incredible run. 30 points, 15 rebounds, 15 assists, and an NBA record for fastest triple double ever. Just 14 minutes and 33 seconds.

Notes include the team's confidence and the contagious passing of the up-tempo style of play. Trey Lyles putting the game away, Jamal Murray's 3rd quarter, and the rediscovery of the identity of this young team.

In this episode I share my notes on Denver's ugly win over the Phoenix Suns. Notes include Denver's attack of the mismatch, Murray's off night, Devin Harris's debut, and Wilson Chandler's clutch game at an improbable moment.

In this episode, I discuss the trade that landed Devin Harris in Denver for Emmanuel Mudiay and go over what kind of player Harris can be for the Nuggets. Then I am joined by Mavs Moneyball writer, Kirk Henderson who has been following Harris's career since 2005. Later I am joined by Jeff Siegel of Peachtree Hoops and The Step Back to discuss Denver's salary cap situation now that they were unable to move Kenneth Faried and Will Barton. Lastly, I bid farewell to Emmanuel Mudiay and discuss what his time in Denver meant to me.
