In Episode 1458, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to play another round of What's More Likely, this time taking a look deep into the future of a handful of important Toronto Raptors players, including Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr. and Precious Achiuwa. Off the top, they discuss whether it's more likely that Scottie Barnes will make two All-NBA teams in his career, or that Pascal Siakam will make at least two more All-NBA teams on top of the two nods he's already earned. Next, they chat about Gary Trent Jr. and whether it's more likely that his long-term NBA future will see him remain a starter or pivot to becoming a sixth man for the majority of his remaining career games. Lastly, inspired by listener Jeff, Sean and Vivek dig into what the more likely outcome for Precious Achiuwa is over the next five years: an All-Star appearance, or washing out of the NBA entirely?

In Episode 1456, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to play another round of everyone's favourite Toronto Raptors parlour game: What's More Likely? Off the top, they dig inte Raptors' three most important pending expiring contracts in Pascal Siakam, O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. and ask whether it's more likely that all three guys are off the team come April 2024, or that all three players remain Raptors through this season's trade deadline. Next, they chat about whether it's more likely that the Raptors' offense surprises and ends up finishing in the league's Top-10 in 2023-24, or that their defense flops and finishes Bottom-10. Lastly, they dive into some awards talk and discuss whether a Scottie Barnes Most Improved Player campaign is more likely than Dennis Schroder winning the Sixth Man of the Year award that's eluded him to this point in his career despite a runner-up finish back in 2019-20.

In episode 1455, Sean Woodley goes solo to react to the Toronto Raptors signing Garrett Temple, his takeaways from breaking down the Raptors' 21-man training camp roster as it stands right now, and the pending UFA situation the Raptors will be bringing upon themselves if they begin the regular season with all of Pascal Siakam, O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. on expiring deals. Off the top, Sean digs into the Temple signing, what it means for Jeff Dowtin Jr., and why it's never a bad thing to have more respected veteran leadership in the room, especially for a young team such as the Raptors. Next, Sean breaks down the 21-man Raptors training camp roster after the signings of Kevin Obanor and Mahamadou Gueye to round out the camp invite group. It's a group light on guard play and shooting, but also seems to be pretty deep top to bottom. Could a rebalancing trade still be in the cards, though? Lastly, Sean lays out the situation and stakes tied to the pending UFA status of Siakam, Anunoby and Trent and why while not an ideal situation, it is different from thre three-UFA situation the front office brought upon itself this past summer.

In Episode 1454, Sean Woodley goes solo to field listener questions about the Toronto Raptors and some of the key players on the roster going into the 2023-24 season, including Scottie Barnes, Precious Achiuwa and Gradey Dick. Off the top, Sean digs into what a successful year of the Point Scottie experiment would look like. Can he put together a season similar to what Ben Simmons did as a rookie, where early growing pains give way to a crescendo of effectiveness to close the season? Next, Sean digs into what Precious Achiuwa's ideal role on next season's team would be, and why it might be a little overly ambitious to expect major steps forward by O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. Lastly, Sean chats about expectations for Gradey Dick's rookie season, all-time Raptors who might have taken off if given a little more runway, and more to round out the show!

In Episode 1453, Sean Woodley is joined by Jamar Hinds (Raptors Republic) to chat about the Toronto Raptors starting lineup, as well as a whole bunch of other potential Raptors lineup combinations with a round of Raptors Lineup Roulette! Off the top, they discuss the projected starting five of Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr., O.G. Anunoby, Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl and its viability as one of the Raptors' core lineups in 2023-24. Next, they play Lineup Roulette, as Sean pulls five names from various coloured bowls and assemble some theoretical five-man groups to then be graded from 1 to 10 on whether or not they will be Good, whether they are Fun, and whether we are likely to actually see them deployed by head coach Darko Rajakovic at some point during the upcoming season. In Episode 1452, Sean Woodley is joined by Katie Heindl (DIME, Basketball Feelings) to discuss where they think the Toronto Raptors have most misstepped in their offseason dealings, and why there should be some benefit of the doubt baked in regarding pending moves that still could come as the summer trade market develops. Plus, they take a look at the ongoing situation surrounding the Toronto Raptors' ownership situation and how it could affect the team's decision-making. Off the top, they chat about the biggest reasons why the Raptors' front office is deserving of criticism this offseason, from their misreading of the Fred VanVleet situation, to the public nature of the Pascal Siakam trade and contract saga, to their lack of a stated direction for the franchise going forward. All that said, there are some reasons to give Masai Ujiri, Bobby Webster and company the benefit of the doubt as they wait for dominoes to fall around the league, and there are certainly some ways by which they could salvage the offseason and make it into something close to a success. Lastly, Sean and Katie chat about the ongoing situation with the Toronto Raptors ownership group, as Larry Tanenbaum attempts to sell a stake in his holding company. Could this be the first step in a major change in how the Raptors' ownership group operates? And what could that mean for the Raptors going forward?

In Episode 1451, Sean Woodley goes solo to discuss the Toronto Raptors very imbalanced roster, and the sneaking feeling that Vision 6'9, once thought to be dead as a team-building philosophy for the Raptors, is in fact very alive and well. Is that a good thing, though? Off the top, Sean digs into why the concept of building a whole roster out of 6'9 guys is actually pretty sound, except for the fact that players with the requisite skills to make offense run smoothly who are also 6'9 are extremely hard to find, even before you factor in the many elements of team building that are out of a front office's control. And yet, here the Raptors are, once again loaded with 10 guys in the 6'7 through 7'0 range and not many guards in support. Next, Sean looks at the logjam at the forward position for the Raptors, hypothesizes on which guys might be in or out of the rotation, and discuss why there are certainly going to be some fun and interesting things about watching this year's Raptors, even if they don't end up being good. Lastly, Sean answers some listener questions about where Chris Boucher fits into the picture, whether Jalen McDaniels should be prioritized ahead of someone like Otto Porter Jr., and some interesting, all-6'9 lineup combos the Raptors might be able to run out.

In Episode 1450, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob to talk about the Toronto Raptors guard rotation as it stands after the signings of Jeff Dowtin Jr. and Javon Freeman-Liberty over the weeked, and examine the pros and cons of running Scottie Barnes as the Raptors' nominal point guard in 2023-24. Off the top, they discuss the Raptors' guard rotation and why it is not a terribly impressive group as it stands. Are there still more moves to come? Or will Barnes, Dennis Schroder and Gary Trent Jr. go into the season as the team's core three guards with Dowtin, Malachi Flyn, Freeman-Liberty and more do battle for fourth guard duty? Next, they discuss what excites them about the Scottie Barnes at point guard experiment. The fact-finding element of it will be essential as the Raptors plot their future plans, and the size advantage the Raptors will enjoy with Scottie on the ball could be an edge they can mine for buckets throughout the year. Plus, could a slightly more reserved Scottie become an excellent point of attack defender and lead the charge for what could be a very good defense overall? Lastly, they dig into their reservations about the Point Scottie experiment, which are in large part tied to the rest of the roster being not at all conducive to a productive offense with Scottie as a lead ball-handler, and Scottie's lack of pull-up shooting being a massive disadvantage when it comes starting possessions off with an advantage-creating action. If the Raptors' expressed intent is to win, this ain't it. If they're perfectly fine winning 30-something games, which has not been in line with their previously stated intentions, then Point Scottie could be a pretty interesting and fun. Setting reasonable expectations just might be the key to enjoying Point Scottie in 2023-24.

In Episode 1449, Sean Woodley is joined by Michael Pina (The Ringer) to discuss his recent piece in which he pitched a Toronto Raptors / Portland Trailer Blazers deal that would see Damian Lillard head to Toronto in exchange for Scottie Barnes. It's a controversial trade to pitch, but Michael digs into his reasoning for it and why the Raptors' current position as a franchise makes this type of move make sense. Next, they examine how the Raptors, with a top four of Lillard, Pascal Siakam, O.G. Anunoby and Jakob Poeltl, would stack up in an Eastern Conference that feels a little more open at the top than it's been in recent years with the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks all have some degree of uncertainty around them going into 2023-24. Would a Lillard-led Raptors team have a shot at making a run through the East? Lastly, they chat about Scottie Barnes, and what the Raptors future can look like if the likely thing happens and he remains with the Raptors going into the season. Plus, are there any more moves for the Raptors to make this summer that could improve their standing?
