In tonight's episode, we celebrate Nene's decision to re-sign for the non-Bird amount (3 years, $11.9M) — which fills Houston's backup center slot while also allowing the Rockets to maintain ample flexibility with the use of their mid-level exception (MLE) and/or trading of non-guaranteed contracts.

But with a "hard cap" of $125 million now intact and a payroll already at $108 million (with just 10 players), we explain why GM Daryl Morey will likely take a more cautious approach in the next wave of free agency while keeping an eye on a handful of larger targets (Carmelo Anthony, Paul Millsap?).

The Rockets pulled a stunner on Wednesday by trading for Chris Paul, who opted in for the final year of his existing contract at $24 million. Ben explains why it's a home run for the Rockets, both from the standpoint of adding a future Hall of Famer and doing it at a much lower cap figure than anyone expected. #Rockets #NBA #NBAFreeAgency #CP3
