With no major free agents of their own to sign, the San Jose Sharks have a bit of flexibility to add a quality free agent or two this offseason. Who are some potential additions for Mike Grier to sign as he continues to remake the team? Could Tyler Bertuzzi be an addition that would add some offense to the Sharks despite a down season for the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins? Is James van Riemsdyk worth taking a flyer on as a potential second-line forward and a power play specialist (13:00)? Pius Suter, of the Red Wings, could add a defensive specialist to the middle six and some insulation if one of the top three centers gets injured (17:00). Finally, why former Columbus Blue Jacket and LA Kings, Joonas Korpisalo, should be Mike Grier's top priority this offseason to sign (23:00).

With the draft in less than a month, how could picking Matvei Michkov, Will Smith, or Leo Carlsson affect the San Jose Sharks' draft choices during the draft? I run a four-round mock draft for the San Jose Sharks with each player taken as their first pick at number four to see who is potentially available for the Sharks and who they should draft in case. Start with the Michkov draft and how the Sharks are given a choice of a number of defensemen at 26 or a player who fell to them. In the Leo Carlsson draft, with a number one center potentially locked up, can take some chances on more scorers (11:00). Finally, with the Will Smith draft, a potential top-15 player falls to San Jose at 26 to make things very intriguing (20:00).

Did the San Jose Sharks give up on Adin Hill too early? After being traded this offseason for a 4th-round pick to the Vegas Golden Knights, Hill has refound his game. Start by comparing Hill's statistics when he was with the Arizona Coyotes, Sharks, and Golden Knights. Then revisit the decision Mike Grier had between Kaapo Kahkonen, James Reimer, and Hill last season and how Kahkonen and Reimer's stats cratered this season (10:00). Finally, is this an issue with the Sharks being a bad team, or is their inability to find a long-term goalie (via free agency or the draft) a symptom of a bigger issue (19:00)?

If Mike Grier wanted to add a foundational NHL piece to the San Jose Sharks this offseason, what names could be available for him? Start with Pierre-Luc Dubois of the Winnipeg Jets who might be at the beginning of a teardown and how he could help provide scoring for the Sharks after trading away Timo Meier. Next, if Alex DeBrincat wants out of Ottawa, why would he be worth the price of a trade and a new contract (10:00), and if Nick Schmaltz (and his affordable contract) from the Arizona Coyotes would be worth the asking price (15:00). Finally, if the Toronto Maple Leafs are really going to split up the Core Four, William Nylander would alter the Sharks from now on (21:00).

Which players could be targets for the San Jose Sharks in the mid-rounds? Josh Tessler of Smaht Scouting joins to discuss some of his favorite players that could be available in the third, fourth, and fifth rounds of the 2023 NHL Draft. We start on the blue line with Portland Winterhawks' Carter Sotheran and why he would be a great defensive defenseman to add. Then, Gennadi Chaly of the Waterloo Black Hawks, who has some offensive upside (7:00). Next, Hoyt Stanley of the Victoria Grizzlies who has good size and is a solid puck-moving defenseman (13:00). Matthew Mania of the Sudberry Wolves makes Josh's list because of his highlight reel plays (15:00). We stay in the OHL with Kingston Frontenacs' Quinton Burns who is a well-rounded defenseman (18:00). The last blueliner on Josh's list is Djurgårdens' Arvid Bergström who is very shifty but needs some more playing time (20:00). We look at some of the potential forwards including a potential steal in the Seattle Thunderbirds' Nico Myatovic who would produce more points if he was given more opportunities (25:00). Brandon Svoboda, a center who is heading to Boston University, has great size and could be a third-line forward with some offensive upside (30:00). Finally, Matthew Soto of the Kingston Frontenacs ,who shows some promise and could be a potential second-line player if he works on his stride (32:00).

Which potential players could be good buy-low candidates for the San Jose Sharks this offseason? Examine players who could be made available via trade and why they would make a good fit for the Sharks. Start with Toronto Maple Leafs' goalie Matt Murray and why the Sharks could get a quality asset to take on Murray's contract. Next, why the Sharks should swing for goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen from the Buffalo Sabres despite some poor numbers (10:00) and despite a log jam of left-handed defenseman, Matt Grzelcyk from the Boston Bruins should be an option (15:00). Finally, why Jack Roslovic could be a perfect buy-low candidate from the Columbus Blue Jackets to add a right-handed shot in the forward department (22:00).
