SMU Mustangs lose key big man as Samet Yigitoglu enters the transfer portal—how will this shake up Andy Enfield’s roster plans? The 7-foot-2 Turkish center, known for his efficient scoring and rim protection, exits after two strong seasons, sparking questions about roster building and the increasing arms race for dominant centers in college basketball.

Grayson Singleton examines why Yigitoglu's move was predictable, connects the trend of dominant big men shaping NCAA championship runs, and spotlights the urgent need for SMU to retain promising forward Jaden Toombs. Can the Mustangs keep Toombs and send a message to top recruits, or will a lack of investment set the program back? Singleton breaks down SMU’s struggles with player retention, the NIL landscape, and what’s next for the Mustangs' frontcourt as they look to stabilize for a critical season ahead.

SMU Mustangs outduel Ohio State again, landing four-star offensive lineman Quay Ford and proving their rise as a true Power 4 contender. Is SMU’s revamped offensive line now elite enough to disrupt the ACC hierarchy? Host Grayson Singleton unpacks how wins on the recruiting trail over blue-bloods like Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, and Oklahoma signal a new era for SMU football—and why dominance in the trenches could fuel consistent playoff contention.

On the hoops side, Singleton spotlights the basketball transfer portal wish list: securing G League star Dink Pate, retaining Jaden Toombs, finding a bigger defensive-minded point guard, stocking up on two-way wings, and adding a rim-protecting big. Can SMU rebuild into an ACC force next season? The episode closes with insights on maintaining top-20 recruiting momentum and what fresh commitments mean for the program’s national reputation.

SMU Mustangs eye Dink Pate for their basketball roster, as a new executive order from President Trump threatens to shake up college sports eligibility. Could legal challenges and shifting eligibility rules impact SMU’s pursuit of this versatile 6’8” wing? Is the G League-to-college path the next big trend—and a step up for Pate’s career?

Grayson Singleton spotlights the executive order’s limits on transfers and eligibility, questioning why player movement faces such restrictions when coaches move freely. The debate heats up around NCAA control, capitalism, and proposed five-year eligibility caps. Key issue: how ongoing policy changes hurt high school recruits and cycle seasoned players out. Singleton breaks down the financial landscape for college athletes, SMU’s roster strategy, and the ethical arguments at the heart of college basketball’s future. Can SMU capitalize amid policy chaos, and will Congress reshape the game for Mustangs and NCAA contenders?

Can this upstart group shut down opposing quarterbacks and erase last season’s Achilles heel?

Grayson Singleton evaluates whether Lashlee will ever face a clear coaching disadvantage on the 2026 schedule, stacks up ACC rivals, and spotlights the importance of a deeper, more consistent defensive line after key departures. The show also asks if SMU’s evolving pass rush and coaching improvements will be enough to topple contenders like Notre Dame and avoid upsets against underdogs. SMU Mustangs football gear up for ACC competition by bulking up across the roster—can sheer size be their equalizer against tougher rivals? Grayson Singleton spotlights impressive offseason gains, praising players like Dramekco Green and Kendrick Raphael, while the offensive and defensive lines now boast major Power Four-ready muscle. Is this physical edge enough to propel SMU to ten wins and avoid getting outmuscled, even against teams like Notre Dame and Louisville?

The episode also explores Andy Enfield's basketball blueprint, emphasizing the importance of retaining big men Jaden Toomes and Samet Yigutoglu to keep pace in an era where NCAA Tournament success hinges on roster size and experience. Singleton debates SMU’s need for older, taller players via the transfer portal and raises questions about fast starts for SMU football, with veteran leadership and Rhett Lashlee’s coaching evolution offering reasons for optimism.
