Locked On Sun Devils - Daily Podcast On Arizona State Sun Devils Football & Basketball

The hosts of the Locked On Podcast Network, representing all 16 Big 12 football programs, have cast their preseason votes — and the results are anything but unanimous. Arizona State football earned several first-place votes, but not enough to be the clear No. 1 heading into the 2024 Big 12 season. In this episode of Locked On Sun Devils, host Richie Bradshaw breaks down the official Big 12 preseason power rankings as voted on by Locked On's experts — and why ASU's reigning Big 12 champion status wasn’t enough to sway all voters. Bradshaw spotlights the Sun Devils’ strong returning core — including quarterback Sam Leavitt, breakout wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, and a defense loaded with experience and depth — as he explains why Arizona State football should be the preseason favorite. But not everyone agrees. How did Houston football land a shocking first-place vote? Why is BYU still hanging in the top six? And what should we make of other contenders like Kansas State, Texas Tech, and Baylor getting preseason hype? We analyze each team’s placement, debate which teams are overrated or underrated, and examine the growing Big 12 football rivalries that could define the 2024 season. With Kenny Dillingham at the helm, can ASU rise above the noise and prove the doubters wrong? Tune in for in-depth analysis, expert insight, and a passionate defense of Arizona State’s place atop the Big 12.

Sun Devils Shock Big 12: Underdogs to Champions... and Back Again? Despite being the reigning Big 12 champions and returning the second-most production in the country, Arizona State football is being completely overlooked heading into 2025, and host Richie Bradshaw has something to say about it. In this fiery episode of Locked On Sun Devils, Bradshaw dives into why the national media, sportsbooks, and analysts are once again disrespecting the Sun Devils. He highlights the leadership of Sam Leavitt, one of the top quarterbacks in the conference, and the return of playmakers like Jordyn Tyson, breaking down how ASU's offensive core is more dangerous than people realize. On defense, Bradshaw details the underrated unit that helped carry the team to last year’s title run — and why that same group is being ignored in preseason projections. With favorable matchups, elite returning talent, and a wide-open conference, ASU could realistically be favored in every game on its schedule. So why are the Sun Devils behind teams like Utah, Kansas State, and Texas Tech in the eyes of Vegas and voters? Bradshaw makes the case that Arizona State isn’t just back — they never left. And if you’re not buying ASU now, you’re going to regret it later. Tune in for a no-holds-barred breakdown of why ASU could be on the path to a College Football Playoff berth and back-to-back Big 12 titles.

The Big 12 Conference's quarterback landscape is shifting in perhaps the DEEPEST LEAGUE in the nation for gunslingers. Who will dominate the field this season? Arizona Sun Devils' Sam Leavitt and Kansas State's Avery Johnson are at the center of a heated debate with Baylor's Sawyer Robertson. Hosts Richie Bradshaw and Christian Rauh break down their top 5 QB rankings, including those three, and analyze each signal-caller's potential impact. The discussion extends to key supporting players like ASU's Jordyn Tyson and K-State's Jayce Brown. The Sun Devils and Wildcats are replacing stud running backs, but perhaps a "Moneyball' approach to replace Cam Skattebo and DJ Giddens in the aggregate could be the key. Both programs are also loaded at tight end, which may lead to tons of redzone touchdowns. As the Sun Devils aim to defend their Big 12 title, unexpected challengers emerge like Baylor and Texas Tech. But are the seemingly forgotten about Kansas State Wildcats the Arizona State Sun Devils' biggest threat to ASU's reign? Tune in for expert insights on the Big 12's most electrifying quarterbacks and the teams poised to shake up the conference hierarchy.
