Detroit Tigers fell to the Minnesota Twins in the series finale at Target Field. The Detroit Pistons achieved a convincing 115-106 victory over the New York Knicks in a thrilling matchup at Little Caesars Arena. Led by an outstanding performance from Cade Cunningham, who scored 36 points and dished out 8 assists, the Pistons showcased their offensive prowess with a field goal percentage of 57.3%. Jalen Duren also had a remarkable game, going a perfect 9-for-9 from the field while contributing 18 points and 13 rebounds. Other notable contributions came from Tobias Harris and Ronald Holland II, who added 17 and 13 points, respectively. Despite a strong effort from the Knicks, particularly from Karl-Anthony Towns, who tallied 25 points, the Pistons maintained control of the game, outscoring their opponents in the paint and capitalizing on turnovers. With this win, the Pistons continue to build momentum as they chase success in the season.

Detroit Tigers lose to New York Yankees as Aaron Judge and the Yankees avoid the sweep and salvage one game. Jack Flaherty started on the mound for the Tigers and was brilliant tossing 5.1 shutout innings while striking out 9. Tyler Holton gave up a two-run home run to Ben Rice, while Aaron Judge hit a two-run single off John Brebbia to make it 4-0 in the 9th. Colt Keith made a costly error in that ninth inning that kept the inning alive for the New York Yankees. Detroit Tigers did not go quietly in the bottom of the ninth plating three runs thanks to Zach McKinstry. New York Yankees avoid the sweep, Detroit Tigers take two of three and wrap up the homestand 5-1. Detroit Tigers head to Minnesota to take on the Twins next.
