Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have been heavily linked to Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins and while it would be an excellent fit, there are a ton of factors that make a trade for Higgins a BAD IDEA. One of them is the amount of talent in this year's draft class at the receiver position and with all the names that will be available, it doesn't make sense to pass on them to give Higgins a big deal. Finally, the Senior Bowl continues on and while some of the receivers there are standing out, they all aren't a great fit for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans hire of Brian Callahan looked great when it happened, but as the days go by the move looks even better as candidates bail out and Mike Vrabel continues to be on the outside looking in. Also, Shane Bowen could be an option for the Titans to keep as defensive coordinator and while some will be outraged, it does make a lot of sense. Finally, the Senior bowl has kicked off and there were a lot of players who the Titans should be interested in that had great performances on the opening day.

The Tennessee Titans have a new coach in Brian Callahan and that should create some optimism that certain players can bounce back under an offensive-minded head coach including Treylon Burks! Burks needs to do work on his own, but Callahan could help put him in a position to succeed. Next, there are some players who could be traded now that Callahan is in charge and that could include Nicholas Petit-Frere who could be on the outside looking in. Finally, the debate between wide receiver and offensive line in the draft was re-ignited this weekend and it continues to be one of the dumbest conversations we have in the Titans' fan community.

The Tennessee Titans hired Brian Callahan as the head coach, but now they need to assemble the best coaching staff possible and there are particular candidates they must focus on. On offense, the Titans have requested two interviews for offensive coordinators and Eric Studesville from the Miami Dolphins is the perfect choice. On Defense, the Titans have requested Dennard Wilson from the Baltimore Ravens and he has an excellent track record that pairs perfect with Callahan. Finally, if Brian cannot recruit his father Bill Callahan to coach the offensive line, a former Tennessee Titans in Mike Munchak could be a perfect substitute for Brian's father.

It is a new era of Tennessee Titans football as Brian Callahan was introduced and he credited Ran Carthon and Will Levis as major reasons for him wanting to take the job! Also, Callahan spoke on his offensive philosophy and it is a breathe of fresh air for Titans fans everywhere for a coach to prioritize the passing game in this way. Finally, Callahan also discussed his defensive philosophy and backed it up with his first interview request for defensive coordinator -- Dennard Wilson.

The Tennessee Titans had a momentous day on Wednesday and made franchise-altering decisions that should have any Titans fan as excited as ever before. The Titans have finally done the right thing and will let Ran Carthon take full control of the franchise as it begins to modernize and involve to catch up with the rest of the NFL. Along with that came the official announcement of Brian Callahan as head coach and Chad Brinker as President of Football Operations. Finally, former Titan linebacker Wesley Woodyard made a radio appearance and dropped a bunch of information on the dark side of Mike Vrabel and shined a light on some of the personality traits that ultimately led to Vrabel being fired.

The Tennessee Titans and Brian Callahan are a PERFECT FIT. Callahan's experience makes him ideally suited to help the Titans and it was clear the Titans knew it all along. Next, some were worried about Callahan's ability to call plays, but someone who isn't is his former boss Zac Taylor. Go over Taylor's recent quotes that show why Callahan should be perfectly fine calling the plays and it more than qualified to take that next step. Finally, Jake Liscow from Locked On Bengals joins the show to give his thoughts on Callahan's impact on the Bengals and who he is as a football mind, offense builder and as a person.

The Tennessee Titans made a HOMERUN hire with Brian Callahan who is a PERFECT fit for Will Levis. Also, Callahan has a chance to create an excellent coaching staff which the Titans desperately need. Finally, this is a great move right now, but it shows that this franchise is changing in a tremendous way!!

The Tennessee Titans are now into their second interviews for the open head coaching position and they absolutely cannot hire Dan Quinn who is set to have an in-person interview later this week. The Titans should instead focus on hiring Brian Callahan who can build one of the best and most diverse coaching staffs in the NFL. Finally, the Titans have completed their Rooney Rule requirements and one of the interviews may actually be with offensive coordinator in mind.

The Tennessee Titans have scheduled a second interview with Brian Callahan and it will take place on Monday, but the Titans could have some serious competition for his services with the Carolina Panthers. It will be a tight race, but the Titans should have the advantage. Next, two top candidates for the Titans faced off this weekend in Bobby Slowik and Mike Macdonald. Some of the over-reactions to their battle are insane, but we did learn some things. Finally, who will get each of the remaining open jobs in the NFL? Tyler gives his predictions including predicting the Titans will sign Callahan.
