Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

On Tuesday, the NFL's Franchise Tag window opened and the Titans have a potential player to use it on; Harold Landry. Should they? Tyler goes into the pros and the cons of that option and why it is best if it never gets to that point. Then, Tyler goes over some numbers to display Landry's impact while comparing that to the Titans other highly paid edge rusher Bud Dupree. Finally, Tyler looks at the financial future of the Titans Edge Rusher position and the best path forward to maximize the talent.

The Tennessee Titans may be getting a new stadium?? According to some news over recent days that is exactly the case! Reports over the weekend indicate a new stadium is a serious and almost likely result, but why and what does it mean? Tyler explains the information and both sides of the new stadium debate while also tossing in some requests as well! Finally, a tweet from a Miami Dolphins writer indicated a free agent signing that the Titans may make. Tyler talks about why he disagrees with the tweet and provides some statistics to prove why this player is not a fit!!

The Tennessee Titans have two picks in the first three rounds and they will have a ton of different options available. What do the outside pundits think? First, we look at a three round mock draft from NFL.com that has the Titans exploring a defensive option in the first round that Tyler hates. Next, a mock draft from USA Today's Draft Wire that again has the Titans getting defensive in the first round. Tyler thinks that position makes much more sense, but still isn't likely! Speaking of "Likely," the third round pick is one that will excite Titans fans. Finally, Tyler does a mock draft of his own!! Addressing the Titans two biggest needs, but making tough choices along the way!!

The Tennessee Titans have some tough decisions to make this offseason including which players currently under contract need to be cut to clear out salary cap space. Some big names have been floating around as options like Taylor Lewan, Rodger Saffold and Zach Cunningham. Tyler invites fellow Titans talking head Will Lomas on the show to go over a recent article Will wrote about those options. Should the Titans make these cuts? What would they do about those positions after the cut? How much cap space can the Titans create with the moves? All of that answered and discussed in detail!!

The Tennessee Titans are now heading into an offseason that will require them to make many tough decisions. The first step will be deciding what to do with their own in-house free agents. Some of the bigger names are Harold Landry and Ben Jones, but there are nearly 30 names the Titans will have to decide on! Tyler goes through all of them and plays a game of "Stay or Go!" Which players should be staying in Nashville? Which players should the Titans let walk to new teams? Tyler goes over the list!!

It is time for another Mock Draft Monday on the Locked On Titans podcast!!! The Tennessee Titans will have multiple options at pick #26, but who do some national pundits see them going after?? Two positions seem to come up the most: Wide Receiver & Offensive Line. So who makes sense for the Titans at those two spots? Are there any other positions they could attack? Tyler looks at six national mocks to see what they have the Titans doing and he gives his analysis as to whether the prospect is a good fit or if the Titans should have gone elsewhere!

The Tennessee Titans season may have ended on a sour note, but Mike Vrabel was awarded the NFL's Coach of the Year award on Thursday and it was still well deserved. Tyler talks about why Vrabel deserved the award and also goes over some quotes from Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk regarding Vrabel's win. Finally, Tyler talks about Sunday's big game. Why he is cheering for the Rams and what the two biggest factors in the game are before giving out some of his favorite SB 56 prop bets!!
