Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Lou Barletta, candidate for Governor in Pennsylvania, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to update how his campaign has been going with less than one week remaining until a very highly contested primary election on May 17th. First, Lou tells about an event being held tomorrow at the American Legion in Levittown, in which former Gov. Schweiker and Lt. Governor Crawley will speak on the candidate’s behalf. Then, Giordano asks Barletta specifically about the gubernatorial frontrunner Doug Mastriano, with Barletta explaining why he feels he has a higher chance of winning against Democrats, so people should take notice of the winability aspect of the race.

After Barletta, Giordano stresses the importance of the Pennsylvania primaries, pointing to the necessity to elect a candidate who can win. Then, Giordano warns of the negatives of electing another Democrat, pointing to Senator Bob Casey’s flip-flopping on the topic of abortion, telling that he’s come out against the Supreme Court leak after using his pro-life stance to prop himself up for past elections.

Then, Giordano welcomes Matt Brouillette, President and CEO of Commonwealth Partners Chamber of Entrepreneurs, back onto the Dom Giordano to break down the gubernatorial and senate primaries in Pennsylvania. First, Giordano asks about gubernatorial frontrunner Doug Mastriano, and whether Brouillette things the candidate has any shot against a very strong candidate in Josh Shapiro, with Giordano telling that he’s concerned that Mastriano will scare off a moderate vote. Then, Giordano and Brouillette discuss the potential for the other, more moderate candidates, to drop out and team up against Mastriano. Giordano suggests that somebody like Dave White withdrawing would bring more support for candidates like Lou Barletta or Bill McSwain, and vice-versa. Then, Dom and Matt flip over to the Senate side of things, telling of a negative favorability rating that Dr. Oz faces while he continues to surge as a frontrunner, with Brouillette and Giordano stressing the importance of winability in a general election.
