What types of coping mechanisms do you use? The good ones, the not so good ones, the bad ones... 

Learning how to come up with new ones, or tweak ones we already have, this is so important for us to be able to look at and learn really what works for us and why.

It's okay to not have the answers, to not know why it's so much harder, find grace for yourself and know you aren't alone.

So many times in life it's easier to bury our heads in the sand, turn the other way; But in all reality, this is such a huge disservice to others, to ourselves, it creates a lot of negative habits. Lets work to create better habits, ones that were proud of.

This episode is a little different, its not perfect, but that's okay. As Coy and I recorded this, he would get a little nervous and forget what to say and I just kept smiling at him and in between segments; I reminded him that it's okay and he's doing wonderful. 

Things in life are hard enough, we don't need to add to it, we help and encourage and remind them its okay to go slower, to need a minute, have that grace, help them have grace for others.

I can't wait to do another with him, for him to feel more confident in sharing his thoughts and feelings.

PTSD, impacts so many peoples lives, in so many different ways. It's so important to know you're not alone and everyone is going through different situations and because we all have different backgrounds, we create a different response.

With us just having Christmas I have thought a lot about the things I want and how the thing I want, you can't buy at a store.
