    • 005: Avoid THIS mistake when loving your body
I’ve got some startling news for you:  Losing weight won’t make you love your body.

The time you spend counting calories, logging gym hours, and turning down foods you love will be wasted, lost, forgotten.  All the effort will be for naught because reaching a magic number on the scale or the perfect size jeans won’t bring you the satisfaction you crave.  It only leaves you feeling empty and with the bitter taste of regret in your mouth.  Regret for the minutes, hours, months you wasted stressing out about what went into your mouth and how it affected your hips.  And the only thought left in your mind will be, “What the hell?  I thought losing weight would help me feel better!  I still don’t like what I see.  What now?”

Listen to the episode to understand WHY it's a mistake to "wait until" to love our bodies.  I also share 5 tips to start feeling better in your skin today.

        • 002: What does mindfulness do for self-care?

In this interview with Jennifer Racioppi, Women's Health and Success Coach, we jump in to how mindful self-compassion and resilience have an impact on how we care for our bodies and also how we perceive ourselves.

Day-to-day life and hectic schedules can cause us to be out of touch with our bodies.  In turn, this impacts our ability to feel our best, operate in our peak state, and adapt when changes occur.  Furthermore, putting more emphasis on the outcome instead of the process delays gratification and can actually slow long-term results.

Listen to the amazing insights Jennifer shares about what you can start with today to start being more in tune with your body, from the inside out.

        • 001: What does it mean to love your body?

Believe it or not, loving your body isn't about loving every cell, hair, freckle, bump, bruise, etc.  It's more about finding appreciation for what you already have and how you care for it.

Before you discount loving your body TODAY, know that this episode isn't about weight loss, the latest diet, or how to exercise your way to self-love.

Instead, it's about honing in on certain aspects of your body and making sure you are your thoughts and actions are sustaining them.

          Curious?  GOOD!  Take a listen.

        • What is the Love Your BODcast and how can it help you?

After 15 years of yo-yo dieting, I was finally able to shed my 70 pounds of excess weight.  But I still didn't love my body.  I felt betrayed.  It no longer resembled the body I remember at that weight in my teen years.  Instead, my body reflected the babies it had carried and the lessons I had learned over time.  It was hard to understand.  It was hard to love my new body.

Thankfully, after years of feeling like I was in a battle with my body, I was able to quiet the war.  My goal is to help you feel at home in your body.  I want to teach you what it's like to love where you are right now, not ten pounds from now.

The Love Your BODcast is about continuing the conversation that we shy away from:  taking care of and loving ourselves.  We are growing a community of women who are all learning this together and supporting each other along the way.  Come join us!
