Glori Meldrum joins me today for an amazing conversation about mental health. She is the founder of Little Warriors - an organization on a mission to heal the wounds of children who are victims of sexual abuse.
Glori shares her story of suffering sexual abuse from her grandfather at 8 years old, and how little support there was at the time - and even know - for those who have felt her pain. She went on to raise 4 million dollars to open the Be Brave Ranch -a non-profit facility in Edmonton, AB Canada, that houses children for a year to give them an incredible healing opportunity. All measures of treatment are studied by the University of Alberta, with the success statistics being reported in multiple medical journals.
Glori shares her recent 5 year cancer clearing with us, and the journey she battled overcoming the disease that was given to her by her grandfather (cervical cancer from HPV). The story is incredible, the mission beyond admirable, and the message something that we all need to hear.

The #1 question I get asked is what should I be eating? How much? Which foods should I avoid, what do I need to eat more of? How the hell do I figure all of this out?
That exact feeling of overwhelm is one of the reasons that we keep going back to diets. They feel safe. They make us feel in successful (so long as we can comply), and they make us feel like we are in control of our health outcomes.
What dieting actually does, is create a super disordered relationship with food. One where we must follow the rules in order to be good, where we feel guilty for being bad, and where we punish ourselves for over eating or require ourselves to earn our food.
It's fucked up.
I want you to know what it is like to eat what you desire. To go to the grocery store and purchase foods that you love, not because they are labeled low sugar, low carb, or gluten free.
I want you to take back all of that time and energy you spend thinking about calories, and invest it into your hobbies and passions.
THAT is what this episode is about.
If you need more support on your intuitive eating journey, I would love to have you take part in my group coaching program!
