Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by discussing yesterday’s Ludacris concert, offering his reaction to the hilarious censorship by NBC10 of Ludacris’s biggest hit. This leads Dom and Dan into a conversation about the audience yesterday, both calling out the hypocrisy of the stereotypically progressive crowd members dancing to, if we’re being honest with ourselves, very misogynistic lyrics. Then, Dom reacts to the mass shooting over the weekend featuring an individual who may be Trans, calling out the lack of media coverage of the identity of the shooter. Dom then plays back reaction from Philadelphia leaders, who continually prioritize the banning of firearms over the mental health deterioration in our nation. Then, Dom gives some reaction by progressives to the July 4th holiday, telling of tweets by Ben and Jerry of the ice cream fame and a Congressman who are sure to note that we are celebrating a day on stolen land. Also, Dom gives an update on a push in Harrisburg by state Republicans to allow for school choice in the state, hoping to allow students in Philadelphia the opportunity to choose where they’d like to learn.
