Starting from an early age Michael worked alongside his parents at their hotels in Scotland before venturing to the US to work with Four Seasons & Resorts for 10 years. Working at iconic hotels such as The Pierre and the Four Seasons in New York and opening restaurants including L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon.

On returning to London, Michael began his British career at Claridge’s as the F&B Manager and went on to become the Hotel Manager of this iconic hotel. After four years at Claridge’s, Michael opened Rosewood London, a highly anticipated opening of this ultra-luxury hotel brand.
