In this interview episode, I sit down with Pete Ciccone and Emily Chang to discuss the importance of supplementation and sticking to a plan when it comes to peak performance and bodybuilding. Pete Ciccone is a Physique Specialist, Industry Consultant and contributing writer for both Oxygen Magazine and Status Fitness Magazine. Pete is a registered nurse specializing in hormonal health. He’s been a personal trainer and a competitive bodybuilder since 1989 and has coached hundreds of athletes to pro status. He is the creator of 619 Muscle along side his girlfriend and athlete , Emily Chang, who is a master of sports psychology and trainer with 619 Muscle.

Emily is a former member of the military and earned her pro card as a bikini competitor while she was in active duty. She transitioned into a competitive and lifestyle coach as she also transitioned herself into a wellness competitor helping female bodybuilders with their internal and external transformations.

In the solo episode, I share my current realizations as I am taking eager action to make a change in my environment. I recognize that my home space has constantly been on the go since childhood moving back-and-forth between my parents, multiple colleges and relationships that have left me with feelings of restlessness to scratch the itch for change.

Restless energy is referred as a state of heightened activity or agitation, often characterized by an inability to stay still or focus. It can manifest as a feeling of restlessness, jitteriness, or a strong desire to move or engage in various activities. 

Here are 7 ways I channel restlessness for positive energy, as inspired by Deepak Chopra.

Hopefully these practices will help you next time you feel the energy to jump out of your skin, make an irrational decision, or possibly freak out. Know that you have what it takes to calm your body and still your mind to find peace within while also giving respect to what needs to move about within you and around you in order to release it back into this world.  

In this interview episode, I get to sit down with the creator of Zealous Health and Fitness. I met Corey Renbarger when he first moved to San Diego just over five years ago and began his coaching business.

Corey shares his upbringing and overcoming  drug addiction, following a huge awakening from his time in Thailand. He has completely changed his entire outlook on life with intentionality and helps others do the same by prescribing exercise as an anti-drug. He shares his experiences with plant medicine and how people can heal their bodies through  breath  alone.

Emotion adds a powerful charge to one's mental imagery, making it more likely to materialize into reality. Repetition serves as the persistent engine driving these visualizations forward, engraining them in the subconscious mind.

Confidence is a key element in this equation and is intricately tied to competency. To exude confidence, one must first acquire the necessary skills and knowledge, emphasizing the importance of competence in achieving personal goals. This highlights that confidence isn't merely a superficial display but a reflection of genuine capability.

The analogy of spark plugs in a car underscores the role of motivation in propelling the process. Motivation acts as the initial spark, igniting the emotional energy required for sustained effort. Just as spark plugs are essential for a car's ignition, motivation serves as the catalyst for emotional engagement. Once the metaphorical car is on and running, discipline plays a crucial role in maintaining momentum on the path to success. It acts as the stabilizing force, ensuring consistent and purposeful progress. This creates a smooth path towards our intended destination.

I had the privilege of being able to sit down with my friend and Stronglifting teammate, Bri, as a guest speaker to her clients for the  “Healthy Holiday” challenge she is currently hosting.
