Sara Antel, also known as "Santel" knew she wanted to be in politics and governance after attending a model United Nations conference in high school. Since then, she's served as Chief Elections Officer for elections at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, served as a Correspondence Associate at the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence, worked on campaigns including President Obama's reelection campaign in 2012, and currently works in voter education to empower voters to make informed decisions at the ballot box. She also works to make politics more approachable and kinder on her podcast, The Dove Party.
Sara knows this will help bring better people into the fold, especially women and girls, and help people realize just how much power they can have in the system to affect positive change. Her life's mantra is to "shake things up, tear things down, and build things better." Her ultimate goal is to become President of the United States someday and do "the greatest good for the greatest number" of people.
In this episode, you'll hear us chat about what's going on in the world, how you can use your voice and your vote to impact change, and why the representation of women matters.
