About Dr. Mary Helen Hensley:  https://www.maryhelenhensley.com/metaphysical-healing/  Following her near-death experience Mary Helen began to realize that her previous skills of communicating with those in spirit had become so much more. A series of incredible, serendipitous events led her to develop her new-found ability to facilitate the healing process.  Overnight, she found herself able to “read” the ethereal field of an individual, linking her to the person’s history, gaining insights into how past experiences were creating a person’s present reality, regarding their physical, emotional and spiritual health.  In this episode, Dr. Mary Helen Hensley shares the story of her journey from a child who saw dead people, to a profound near death experience, to a thriving career as a chiropractor and metaphysical healer.   Music Credits: Track: Wandering — JayJen [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/1HJbXTXa5WU   Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/wandering    FOLLOW Magic Is Real (Host Shannon Torrence) on Instagram: @realmagicshannon    If you'd like to support Magic Is Real by becoming a Patreon, here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/magicisreal111    To be added to the Magic Is Real mailing list, be considered as a guest or to offer suggestions and share ideas, e-mail me at: [email protected].  TO BOOK A MEDIUMSHIP READING WITH ME:  Email me at [email protected] and we’ll find a time for a Zoom session.  My fee is $150 for an hour session.   MAGIC IS REAL Podcast Link: https://anchor.fm/shannon-torrence

Robert Petrillo is the host of the podcast, "Obsessed With Death".  Robert started his podcast because he is obsessed with the topic of death and wanted to deep dive into it to confront his fears, explore his curiosity and geek out about this mysterious, fascinating topic with others who are willing to obsess about death with him.  I invited Robert to join me to talk about his fears, anxieties and thoughts about death and to receive a mediumship reading on my podcast and to then discuss his impressions about the whole situation.    I loved this interview because we laughed a lot and learned a lot and I hope you will, too.   Links to Rob's podcast, OBSESSED WITH DEATH:  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/obsessed-with-death/id1478296198 Instagram: @obsessedwithdeathpod   Music Credits: Track: Wandering — JayJen [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/1HJbXTXa5WU    Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/wandering    FOLLOW Magic Is Real (Host Shannon Torrence) on Instagram: @realmagicshannon    If you'd like to support Magic Is Real by becoming a Patreon, here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/magicisreal111    To be added to the Magic Is Real mailing list, be considered as a guest or to offer suggestions and share ideas, e-mail me at: [email protected].    TO BOOK A MEDIUMSHIP READING WITH ME:  Email me at [email protected] and we’ll find a time for a Zoom session.  My fee is $150 for an hour session.   MAGIC IS REAL Podcast Link: https://anchor.fm/shannon-torrence

David Suich, author of, "God Took My Clothes" and spiritual counselor,  is a retired engineer who founded and operated Steps of Hope Outreach, a nonprofit organization that served orphanages in Nepal, Mexico, and Haiti from 2003 through 2018. During a painful and chronic physical condition that triggered severe depression, he clicked on a YouTube video about an atheist who died momentarily and saw Heaven. This led him on a 14-year journey of research into near death experiences including the testimonies of over 1000 people who have died, seen the afterlife, and returned.   David's website:  https://www.godtookmyclothes.com/  In this episode, David and I discussed what happens when we die, healing the body through spiritual means, where our souls go and why, despite all of the chaos and pain happening in the world today, we can let go of fear and expect a beautiful, peaceful future where love rules the day.   Music:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/0r2x6...

My soul sister Alana Sweetwater, a musician, intuitive and host of the podcast, “The Warrior Empath” joined me to discuss what it is to be an empath, or highly sensitive person.  We talked about the gifts that being an empath can offer, as well as the difficulties in navigating a world of overstimulation, fear and anxiety when we absorb the energy of other people, places and events.  We discussed the process of psychic mediumship and spirit communication as well as how we create and contribute to healthy relationship dynamics with others and set boundaries when we are so deeply feeling and love so easily.   Alana's Links:  Book a session:  sweetwatersoulsesssions.com   IG: The Warrior Empath   Music:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/0r2x6IbWtFjQMqto9MTlZL Music Credits: Track: Wandering — JayJen [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/1HJbXTXa5WU   Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/wandering    FOLLOW Magic Is Real (Host Shannon Torrence) on Instagram: @realmagicshannon    If you'd like to support Magic Is Real by becoming a Patreon, here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/magicisreal111    To be added to the Magic Is Real mailing list, be considered as a guest or to offer suggestions and share ideas, e-mail me at: [email protected].  TO BOOK A MEDIUMSHIP READING WITH ME:  Email me at [email protected] for rate and information and we’ll find a time for a Zoom session.   MAGIC IS REAL Podcast Link: https://anchor.fm/shannon-torrence

In 2001 Jim began studying esoteric subjects and has sought personal experiences as a means of validating his understanding of the breadth of reality. What began as an interest in near-death experiences expanded to include other spiritually transformative subjects. Jim has attended four residential programs at The Monroe Institute (TMI), participated in numerous programs sponsored by the Rhine Center, spent 2 weeks at an ayahuasca retreat in Peru, and has engaged in multiple holotropic breathwork sessions. He currently serves on the finance and ethics committees for the International Association for Near-death Studies (IANDS). A 'chance' encounter with a prince from Togo, Africa has evolved into a joint effort to create a regenerative, organic farming operation in Togo. Jim had an opportunity to see how societal belief in voodoo could be used to benefit the health condition of an individual. After learning about a Consciousness Café meetup group in Charlotte, NC headed by Mark Brooks, Jim formed a similar meetup group in Greensboro, NC. As of this writing there are over 1,200 members of the two groups. Mark and Jim recognized the latent interest in the subjects they presented and decided to recruit a team of people with similar interests to create a website – www.consciousness-cafe.com. The group encourages others anywhere on their spiritual journey to visit the site and become members.
