Chris Essex is a regular guy, a loving husband and devoted dad, who leaned atheist until an infection caused him to go into a coma during which he experienced a past life and a feeling of peace and beauty in an alternate state of being/dimension. He doesn't claim to know what's really going on or attach himself to any dogma, but he experienced enough to understand that there is more to life than this. Jonathan Van Valen has led an outwardly ordinary life, during which a long series of inner events pointed him towards relinquishing much of that life in favor of awakening and a radical falling away of egoic self. One of these profound events was a near death experience in which Jonathan was made very aware that while his body was dying, his consciousness and his true self were very much awake and alive. Jonathan is now a spiritual teacher and healer. In Tony's words: I served 22 years in the Navy and flew as the Flight Engineer on the P3 Orion aircraft for over 20 years. In the year 1981 on the island of Oahu while stationed at the Barbers Point Naval Air Station and after departing the runway at over 150MPH in an aircraft incident during an emergency engine out landing I had an intense OBE in the middle of that incident. Two days later I had my NDLE and was in the Light of my Creator whom I call God. On this episode, Tony shares the details of the harrowing experience that induced his out of body experiences and connection with The Other Realm, and the journey on his quest for further understanding about the nature of our souls and about his experiences. Kelvin's website: KelvinChin.org Kelvin Chin has been helping people navigate their lives more easily and smoothly for over 40 years. Throughout his life, he has focused on empowering others, often teaching them techniques and new ways of thinking, helping them to be more self-sufficient and effective. At age 19, Kelvin learned to meditate as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Three years later, Maharishi taught Kelvin how to teach it in an effortless, easy-to-learn way. In his mid-20’s, Kelvin began to remember ancient personal memories from many centuries ago. During his subsequent corporate and legal careers, these memories unfolded more and more. In addition, over the past 40 years, he has had many experiences with the “other side of the veil,” so that now his connection between this physical side and the more non-physical side is normal and natural, not unusual or extraordinary. Now, his teaching of “Turning Within” Meditation, his Overcoming the Fear of Death work, and his Grief Recovery program is his full-time focus. Topics we discussed: Afterlife Reincarnation & Past Lives Whether or not time exists on the other side Spirit communication How to overcome the fear of death Normalizing conversations about death Meditation Near Death Experiences Staying youthful and how meditation contributes to anti-aging The Stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius Music Credits: Track: Wandering — JayJen [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/1HJbXTXa5WU Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/wandering FOLLOW Magic Is Real (Host Shannon Torrence) on Instagram: @realmagicshannon If you'd like to support Magic Is Real by becoming a Patreon, here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/magicisreal111 To be added to the Magic Is Real mailing list, be considered as a guest or to offer suggestions and share ideas, e-mail me at: [email protected].
