  • Happy Humpday

It's Brown Shoe Day, and ironically, the guys both wear brown shoes and—wait for it—black pullovers. Can you say "fashionistas?" The conversation rolls from movies to game shows, and the guys want to do a game show on the program. John and Todd agree that if Jim tries to change the rules or the basics of the show during the broadcast, he will be banned from the game. And we mean it!

  • Toys For Tots & Veterans Museum

The hour starts with David Rucker from BankFirst and Jodi Vandermolen with the Winnebago Home Builders Association. They stopped by to discuss their drop-off locations for the local Toys For Tots drive. It's another example of two great local organizations coming together to do wonderful things in our community. Speaking of great organizations, Dale Anderson from the Military Veterans Museum in Oshkosh visits with Jim and John. The Museum is dedicated to the people of Wisconsin who served in the armed forces and honors and affirms the role of all veterans in shaping Wisconsin military history and that of the nation. It's Giving Tuesday, and the Museum would love additional volunteers and even funds to keep it going.

  • It’s Giving Tuesday

Another great hour of guests from our WISS studios in Oshkosh! Ryan Rasmussen, Executive Director at the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry joins the guys to talk about Giving Tuesday and how folks can support the pantry and the community members who use it. If you'd like to donate to the Community Pantry or other non-profits across the state, click on the Civic Media site to give. Then Caitlin MacWilliams and Pat Tracey from Discover Oshkosh bring the "holly jolly" spirit! (Look at Pat's suit!)

Caitlin and Pat talk a bit about what's going on for the holidays in the Oshkosh community, and then Pat sings a few holiday songs!! Well, one verse of one song. But it was wonderful!

  • Oshkosh Round II

We broadcast from our WISS studios in Oshkosh, giving the guys another chance to redeem themselves from last month's broadcast, in which they overshot Oshkosh and Fond du Lac. Thanks to Nikki Z. for making sure the guys made it on time. The conversation rolls from speaking German to Giving Tuesday. Civic Media has made it very easy for you to donate to great non-profit organizations across the state and here in Northeast Wisconsin. Then Lisa Hale talks about all of her pets, which includes a dog, cats, spiders and a bearded dragon.

  • Literacy & Safety

Former radio pro and all-around great guy Eric Sponholtz with Literacy Green Bay joins the guys to discuss Giving Tuesday and the opportunities our listeners have to support organizations like Literacy Green Bay. Eric also suggests volunteering at the organization as a way to give back. Then, our biking friends Peter and Tracy Flucke are in to discuss winter safety for walkers and bikers. (If you're wondering, yes. They did ride their tandem bike to the studio. Yes...in this bitterly cold weather!) Some of their suggestions include wearing ice spikes on your shoes and wearing bright and reflective clothing (because it's so dark out this time of year). Check out their website if you'd like to follow them on their biking journey.

  • Holiday Theater

Our good friend Gizmo joins the show to promote many great holiday shows this month. From small performances with just a few performers to larger shows, Gizmo suggests looking online for these holiday shows. "They're all over." After that festive talk, somehow, the guys get into a conversation about P. Diddy, how he could get out the ankle bracelet, and where he should go. After realizing how crazy the conversation is, Jim pulls it back to great holiday gift ideas.

  • Monday Morning Meanderings

After several days away, the guys are ready to roll into the new week! Maino spent most of the long weekend watching football, and The Mayor spent the weekend in New York for Thanksgiving. The conversation starts with the firing of the Bears' head coach. We do a "Maino-Sing-Along" and we also have a look inside "The Mayor's Brain" when he practically has a conversation with himself for a few minutes.

  • Weekly Best of Maino and the Mayor for Nov 30

Will Kocken with HOOAH Wisconsin joins the show to discuss Veteran Suicide Awareness. The holiday season is a significant time to check in with our veteran friends and family. While the conversations can be challenging, having them has an effective rate of about 80% for saving lives. Then, the man with all the energy, Pat Tracey with Discover Oshkosh, is in the house to discuss some exciting upcoming events for the holiday season! From their Holly Jolly Holiday Pass to the Celebration of Lights, we're thankful to call Oshkosh home. Then, Maino's son, Dom, joins to clarify a discussion about snorkeling as a child.
