Dr. Chuck Gibson’s contributions to the profession he loves are well-known and much talked about. Born Charles E. Gibson in a small southern Illinois mining community, he would go on to compile a list of accomplishments unequaled in modern chiropractic. A man of uncompromising philosophy, his standards of excellence in practice and patient management have become the framework of thousands of successful chiropractors across the free world. Fondly referred to by his many friends as “Dr. Chuck,” he is universally respected as a highly principled teacher, mentor, and a true visionary in the industry he helped found - chiropractic practice management.

A 1955 graduate of Palmer College, Dr. Gibson completed graduate training at Cleveland Chiropractic College before receiving his California license one year later. He went on to complete two years of graduate work in Chiropractic Orthopedics at Los Angeles Chiropractic College prior to two years of Army service at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After his military discharge in 1959, Dr. Gibson returned to California and practiced in Sacramento until 1988. It was during those years that he was acknowledged as one of the world’s most successful chiropractors and became a titan of the profession.

Frequently testifying as an expert witness, Dr. Gibson also provided depositions in over 200 acute trauma cases and testified in PI cases dozens of times. Instrumental in advancing the credibility and acceptance of his profession in the legal environment, he would later co-write and publish the first book written by a Chiropractor on the management of acute trauma cases. The work was used for years as an auxiliary textbook by Palmer College.

An internationally acclaimed speaker, Dr. Gibson has addressed audiences at virtually every chiropractic college in the United States, dozens of state convention programs, and of thousands of chiropractic professionals in Canada, Europe, and Australia. His presentation topics ranged from management of acute trauma and expert testimony to office procedure and day-to-day business management. In addition to these platform appearances, he has personally conducted over one thousand seminars for clients of Gibson Management Consultants which has served some four thousand chiropractic offices nationally and internationally.

According to Dr. Gibson, “One cannot outgive his profession or position in life.” Throughout his long career, he has given many times over, serving as a Representative Assemblyman in the International Association, a co-founder of the International Chiropractic Association of California, and a co-founder and past president of the Society of Chiropractic Management Consultants. In 1967, Dr. Gibson founded the prestigious Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table and served as its chairman for five years and is now honored as chairman emeritus for life.

Dr. Gibson had the unusual experience of being classmates with the following Chiropractors who have become legends in our profession: Dr. Reggie Gold, Dr. Sid Williams, and Dr. Fred Barge. He also had the opportunity to sit at the feet of the legendary BJ Palmer dozens of times during his lectures. Highly recognized for his many contributions to his healing art. Dr. Charles E. Gibson is a man who is totally dedicated to chiropractic philosophy and is a highly principled chiropractor. He and his wife Julie and their two children reside in San Clemente, California.
