In the 1800s, recipes included everything from instructions for making parmesan cheese, to 'Cures for a Person Bit by a Mad Dog.' A team of university professors and students spent three years digging through archival materials, culminating in an online database called Early Modern Maritime Recipes. Edith Snook is one of the main researchers and a professor at UNB's English Department.
