I've been functioning and expressing through the lens of my trauma and I'm ready to let it go. This episode marks a close of the first chapter of this podcast and the first chapter of my healing. With these first episodes, I was modeling how to listen to oneself and how to talk through heavy emotions.

In this episode we embrace change, for the better. Not the change that we were forced to bring about because of others, but intentional and purposeful change. You're the bank, start acting like it!

Cars have been a common motif in most of my stress dreams. What does this mean? To me, it meant feeling like I didn't have control of my life or the direction my life was going in.

In this episode, I recount when I had this realization, I talk about the struggles I encounter with my healing journey, and release my frustrations by naming them and choosing to focus my attention and energy on moving forward instead of lingering in the past.

Feel what you need to feel in order to process and heal. This is today's theme for our latest car EP. In this episode, we start off journaling our experience thus far and then begin to trace where these emotions were coming from and what they were rooted in. I talk about my financial situation, feeling defeated and how it sucks to be here despite all the efforts I'm making to change my life for the better.

This episode is an emotional roller coaster, so bear with me (pls).

Today I reflect on some experiences and go through the motions that they sparked. In this episode, I share how my thoughts and feelings rise and how I sink with them. The point is to allow yourself to feel, not neglect what we go through and to call ourselves out when we feel ourselves project. We have so much power in the thoughts we choose to give attention to as well as the feelings they come with.

We are continuing our healing in this episode and the theme for today is: let it be. On this day I was feeling like moving on was easier because I was accepting the reality of the situation for what it was (heartbreak) and for what it can be (experiencing love). Too many times we choose to follow a narrative that leads to even more hurt, but as the authors of our books, the directors of our movies, we have the ability to choose what our story is.

What does it feel like? In this episode we get lyrical, lyrical (physical, physical... like the song... just me? ok)! Let's go through it together and let's learn about what we can do to acknowledge our feelings, emotions, and what we can do to help release them from our selves.

I wrote a poem, made a playlist and edited a photo of me to use the cover photo for that playlist. These practices helped me process and I hope that this episode can help you see that when you feel something, you can channel it into something creative, something artistic.
