Homeschooling is never a cookie-cutter style operation. You and your children are one-of-a-kind treasures. But it’s tempting sometimes to look around at your homeschooling friends and feel that you just don’t quite measure up. Other moms are so much more organized, their children behave better, their schooling seems much more successful…the list goes on and on.

Veteran homeschooling mom Jeanette Whittaker will share a timely reminder that you homeschool for an audience of One. He created you and your children. He has called you for a distinct purpose and is using you to lead your children to follow Him.

As we begin the homeschooling year, it’s enjoyable to ask other parents what they’ll be doing this year; but we still want to avoid the pitfalls that derail us and keep our eyes on the path where God is leading.

Mrs. Jeanette Whittaker, a homeschooling mom since 2002, enthusiastically encourages other parents in their personal homeschool journey. Building on the heart for learning which she cultivated as a child and youth (her Mom was her teacher), she has inspired homeschool students to explore, think, search Scripture, write, create mini-dramas out of their lessons, and realize that all learning is an extension of the character of God. She is grateful for the influence of her parents and family, her godly husband of 20 years, and her two teenage children.
