Malya is a high school student in Utah. A lot of students, and parents of students write in wondering about how to survive at school with miso. Malya is a strong advocate for herself at school and has great support from her family. She does some work for an amazing youth mental health advocacy organization called Hope Squad. She talks about her tools and techniques, plus how she explains it to friends, and family. She also talks about some treatments that we haven’t covered yet on the podcast, specifically neurofeedback, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). Some links on those below.

We’re getting closer to this year’s Misophonia Association Convention, this year online-only October 8 through the 10th. I’ll be speaking along with many other more interesting speakers about the latest Misophonia news. Links in the show notes on how to get access or just google for the Misophonia Association convention.
Shout out to a business on Misolist - this week it’s SolitudeJude Ceramics. Fellow misophone Jude Mortensen makes ceramics and other art along with teaching pottery classes in San Marcos CA. Custom orders and great gifts are available at her shop online at solitudejude.com or you can follow her on Instagram @solitudejude.
