Suzanne Collins was a military kid who moved a lot, but that didn’t stop her from making friends, doing well in school and sports. After she graduated high school in 1985 she enrolled in the Marines and was stationed in Millington, Tennessee. After a long day of training she went on her nightly run around the base. The next morning her dead body would be found. She died from blunt force trauma and had been sexually assaulted with a tree branch and punctured her lungs.
