NEW WORLD ORDER - The Pirates traded Jameson Taillon to the Yankees over the weekend, and that was the right move. Double M fully endorses burning it down to the ground and stocking the farm. The question is will they develop them right and execute a legit rebuild? And will they spend what's needed to get the team to championship level? We all probably know the answer to that unfortunately....

Mark then gets into the Penguins more, and how unreal it is that they are 4-2 right now after the games they've played. He also touches on LeFleur blowing the game yesterday more so than you can remember a coach blowing a game in recent memory.

It's then very exciting to welcome on the ollll 29'er Phil Bourque for his first of many appearances with Madden during hockey season. 29'er gives his thoughts about Kapanen, Geno slumping, the resilience of the Penguins, and they look ahead to this weeks series with the Boston Bruins.
Mark then closes out the hour by getting back into the Steelers and their token interviews at OC after the news broke that Canada has the job.

OPENING MONOLOGUE - Mark has got some real juicy Steelers news that he breaks. He gets into Rodgers and Championship Sunday's action and of course gets into some Penguins talk.
Mark points out something a little quirky with Tristan Jarry and his stick handling. He talks about the defense who has been injury prone but playing okay...except for one thing with John Marino.

Our football guru Matt Williamson then joins the show to break down the action from championship Sunday. They discuss Rodgers being 1-4 in championship games, Brady in yet another Super Bowl, The Chiefs are a machine, and we look ahead to the Super Bowl in two Sundays.

NEW WORLD ORDER - We got some very sad news today as Hank Aaron passed away, and Mark eulogizes the life of one of the greatest baseball players of all time.

Mark then gets into the news of the NBC Sportnet closing up shop and hockey and premier league action moving to USA or Peacock.

We take some calls from the hoi palloi and then welcome Mark Kaboly from The Athletic onto the program. Kaboly and Mark talk about the Steelers news from the past few days, what it means for Ben, the new offensive coordinator, the signing of Dwyane Haskins and much more.

Penguins play the Rangers tonight to start the weekend series.

The LIST - The Texans let it leak that they are looking for three first round picks in return for DeShaun Watson, and Steelers fans and some media think they should do that. They absolutely should not do that and Mark spells out why for you.
Mark then highlights how noone wants to call into the show anymore because Steelers fans know they suck and know they aren't going anywhere. He also touches on how the Steelers just aren't the Steelers we used to know anymore.

The 30th Anniversary of the Penguins winning their first Stanley Cup Championship in '91 and we continue to celebrate by interviewing members of that team. This week, it's Bob Errey's turn to jump on with Mark and reminisce about that magical 1991 season that brought the Cup to Pittsburgh.

NEW WORLD ORDER - The Steelers have a great defense. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season. All of that and so much more just doesn't matter anymore when it comes to the Steelers. They need to tear it down now and rebuild and no better time to that than right now.

Mark talks about the Tiger documentary on HBO and then takes some calls on the Steelers and Haskins signing.

Dan Rosen, Senior Writer for NHL.com joins the show to get some great hockey talk going looking around the league, how they've handled the Covid protocols, how the East is going to shake out, and so much more. You definitely wanna hear this if your a hockey fan.
Mark touches on what Dan said about no Canadien division moving forward and the lack of buzz about hockey right now. Also notes the play being exciting but sloppy to start

OPENING MONOLOGUE - The Steelers made a splash today by signing Dwyane Haskins to a futures deal. Mark talks about that and how he doesn't like the signing. Feels like the Steelers are sifting through other teams garbage. He also touches on them interviewing Hue Jackson for the OC opening, which wasn't that already Matt Canada's job?
Mark then gets into the Penguins, Sully updated injuries to D men, and it was not very good news. Pens and Rangers tomorrow night at 7.

Josh Yohe joins the show for his weekly hit with the Super G. Josh and Mark talk about the plans at the blue line with half the defenseman injured now or on paternity leave, they get into the "goalie controversey", if there even is one... and they preview Pens and Rangers coming up tomorrow night.
