The Mets take a crazy Game 1 vs the NL 2nd place Phillies who like others, had the Mets backs up against a wall late in the game off a spectacular start from Zack Wheeler, but YET AGAIN, these never say die Mets show up when challenged. Although a leadoff Kyle Schwarber home run is a tough way to start a game, Kodai Senga shined after, and David Peterson picked up the ball to take the game all the way through a Reed Garret late appearance to keep the Phils off the board.
