It all started with The Hulk and Freddy Krueger, and only escalated from there. In this episode, Danielle and Adam talk all about fears: rational fears, irrational fears, and how their parents' fears impacted them growing up. What fears do they have as parents, for their marriage, and for the future? What does Adam fear most about the Zombie Apocalypse, and what were some of the worst fears Danielle had during her struggle with OCD? Plus, what fears have they gotten over and how did they do it?

Ty Tashiro is a social scientist and relationship expert whose research and data has been shared all over for its valuable insight about how to find lasting true love. Using his philosophy of "the three wishes," Ty explains why the most commonly sought after traits in a partner often have a very low "return rate" in life. Which traits are undervalued when it comes to dating? How are Disney movies and teen romance series hindering people's perceptions about real, thriving relationships? How come we tend to falter when it comes to sensing whether someone will be a good mate in life? Plus, how can we apply all of these incredible strategies to existing relationships to ensure couples who have been together a long time can also have a "happily ever after."

One of the most popular questions Danielle and Adam get is about how they started couples' counseling, and how and why Adam finally agreed to go to therapy himself. It was a long road before they sought therapy together, something they now wish they had done sooner. In this episode, the two talk about their own history with therapy from childhood until now. Danielle breaks down her OCD treatment, and discusses a time when red flags told her she was not seeing a therapist who really understood what she was going through. Adam talks about why he thinks men are so reluctant to seek therapy. The two also discuss medication, what they've told their kids about therapy, and why their current therapist is such a good fit for them.

One of the most common messages Danielle and Adam receive from listeners is that they and their partner mismatched libidos. Truthfully, 80% of couples experience one partner having a higher libido than the other. We all think that we're the only ones struggling with this, and we tend to take it personally when our partner isn't in the mood as often (or ever). But there are so many misconceptions and myths surrounding sex drives and compatibility. This episode breaks down some of those misconceptions, and sheds light on the issues in Danielle and Adam's own marriage that have led to little or no sex over extended periods of time.

With the world feeling really heavy right now, Adam and Danielle figured they would do a lighter episode. In honor of awards' season, they talk about their best (and some worst) choices for all kinds of random categories, from movies to vacations to their favorite indulgence. If you're in need of a break from the seriousness of the world right now, this episode is a good place to start.

In this extremely fun, funny episode, Danielle and Adam sit down with their 16-year-old daughter, Mia, and 13-year-old son, Ean, for the opportunity to ask each other all about what it's like to grow up in Gen Z vs. what it was like to grow up in Gen X. Plus, it's the teens against their "cringeworthy" parents in a "Battle of the Generations." This a great episode to listen to with a teen or tween (warning: there are a few curse words) to ignite your own conversation about generational differences and similarities.

Danielle sat down with Margaret and Amy from the comedy podcast, "What Fresh Hell." The three moms (who have a combined nine kids), talked about whether or not they are worried that their kids are seeing enough healthy relationships, between the world of social media, at home, and from the people who surround them. They talk about everyone from Taylor Swift, to Harry and Megan, to their own personal marriages and friendships. Plus, what are some of the new euphemisms the kids are using to describe dating? How do we handle fighting in front of our kids? Sometimes you just need to hear moms commiserate about everything from romance to platonic relationships, and this is exactly that conversation. Check out Margaret and Amy on the What Fresh Hell podcast and on instagram.

In this comforting and informative episode. the tone and cadence are slower than usual. But that makes sense because it is all about sinking into the powers of rest and retreat, both during the season of Winter, and during the periods of our life when we are forced to "winter," or go into a state of disconnection, shame, and isolation from the world around us. These periods could include a struggle with mental health, the loss of a loved one or job or friendship, infertility or pregnancy loss, a diagnosis, and so much more. Danielle and Amy share their own thoughts about times when they have "wintered," how these periods help us become more compassionate humans, and how cultures around the world celebrate the cold and darkness rather than wish it away. An individual does not have to have read the book Wintering to appreciate this episode. However, it is a fabulous work and we highly recommend it.
