One of the biggest breakthroughs in our relationship as husband and wife has come from setting healthy boundaries in our marriage. When we experienced the reality of setting up a system to protect, prevent, and prosper our relationship, it had a ripple effect on our relationship with our children, family, and friends as well. Of course the ultimate expression of relationship for those of us who belong to the Lord is to be in close fellowship with Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. If this foundation is unstable, it makes for turbulence and discord in every other relationship. We want to share some lessons we’ve learned along the way in hopes of being a source of encouragement and admonition for those of us who seek to honor God in our relationships.
