  • Poetry Reading: Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou

It has always made me sad (and yes, a little bit bitter) that female writers aren't quite recognized as most writers. For the month of November, we will be reading poetry by the amazing Maya Angelou. She has always been one of my favorites. Let's listen to "Phenomenal Woman" this week. Read by yours truly, here's a poem for your morning exercise or evening blues.

Poetry Reading on WEDNESDAYS. See you next week!

    POET OF THE MONTH

Who is Maya Angelou?A poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. She did it all. She received more than fifty awards and honorary degrees. I hope you enjoy this week's poem. She is best known for her 1969 memoir, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which made literary history as the first nonfiction bestseller by an African American woman. She paved the way, y'all. What's your take in this week's chosen poem?  What makes a person phenomenal? What made YOU?

  • Poetry Reading: Success is counted sweetest by Emily Dickenson

It has always made me sad (and yes, a little bit bitter) that female writers aren't quite recognized as most writers. For the month of October, we will be reading poetry by the famous Emily Dickenson. "Success is counted sweetest" is the last poem for the month of October. Read by yours truly, here's a poem for your morning exercise or evening blues.

Poetry Reading on WEDNESDAYS. See you next week!

    POET OF THE MONTH

Who is Emily Dickenson? One of the most important figures in American poetry. This woman is a classic. Not much was known in her life, but we do know that she changed poetry by the way she treated everything in the world using her words. I hope you enjoy the month of October with Miss  Dickenson.  What is success? Is it money? Fame? A published book or a brand new car? Are the small achievements sweeter? What is your definition of success?

  • Episode 9: Queen Gambit and Deleting Experience

Lucky number nine! I know, I know. Not a lot of people will pick nine as their favorite number. But I did. How about you? Do you have a favorite number? Why do we even have a favorite number? In this week's episode, we talk about Queen Gambit and some life lessons. Here's this week's question: If you put out something not perfect, will you delete or remove this after some time? Would you want a reminder of your hard work? Or would you rather start all over again?

Have you ever been fond of birds? What's your favorite animal? I do adore animals, but I don't think I have the skill to take care of them just yet. There's something beautiful about the existence of animals and their relationship with humans. What's your take on this poem?

  • EPISODE 8: Life lessons from last week

Yikes! I'm cramming this episode at 11:14 PM since I need to wake up at 3 AM tomorrow. So, here we are. I mean... I'm not always a crammer (I think). No, I kinda am. I tend to start things early then finish things late... So where does that take me? ANYWAY. I compiled some life lessons I encountered in the week that finished. I think you'd like this very much. How about you? What's your life lesson for the week?

  • EPISODE 7: Plagiarism and Taking Risks

I was so swamped with work today. But I realized as well that I have to commit to the responsibilities I aim for. There are risks that other people have done, and I can do it as well as long as I try to aim for what I want. It might not always work out, but there is a chance once I try. What are the risks you guys have done? Did you regret those risks?
