  • EPISODE 6: Learning to forgive when you can't forgive others

Hi! It has been a pretty busy week. Were you busy this week? There have been days recently wherein I'm not quite sure if I'm doing enough. And there are days when I feel like I miss other people. But I think I have loved myself enough to know that I'm worth more. Have you guys ever felt this?

See you in our next episode!

  • Poetry Reading: Mad Girl's Love Song by Sylvia Plath

It has always made me sad (and yes, a little bit bitter) that female writers aren't quite recognized as most writers. We focused this month on Sylvia Plath. The last pick for this month is her poem, 'Mad Girl's Love Song'. Read by yours truly, here's a poem for your morning exercise or evening blues.

Poetry Reading on WEDNESDAYS. See you next week!

    POET OF THE MONTH

Who is Sylvia Plath? An American writer who is credited for the advancement of 'confessional poetry'. She is best known for the 'Bell Jar' and 'Ariel'. 'Mad Girl's Love Song' was nostalgic. It makes you remember of a love that you waited for for a long long time. You don't even know why you're still waiting. Have you ever felt a love like that?

  • EPISODE 5: Nothing made sense but here we are

Hi! We just finished one month. Can you believe it? Here is another episode in Welcome to Mars. We'll be talking about why we start things and how solitude creates opportunities to grow. (And yes, anxiety is real!). I haven't been in a good mental space lately and I'm not quite sure why. But there are days when everything seems more than okay.

I hope to hear from you soon!

See you in our next episode!

  • Poetry Reading: The Applicant by Sylvia Plath

Welcome to Mars! It has always made me sad (and yes, a little bit bitter) that female writers aren't quite recognized as most writers. This month we continue to focus on the poems of Sylvia Plath.

'The Applicant' is an amusing poem by Plath. It describes how marriage was seen to be a political relationship rather than a romantic one (more so during the olden times). What do you think about marriage? Do you feel that it's the same till today?

  • EPISODE 4: When loneliness made art

Welcome to another week on Mars. I was feeling a bit sad tonight. Even when we don't want to feel sad or lonely or frustrated at the start of the week,  it just happens. And when it does, you need to acknowledge the feeling. This way, when you're happy, you'll acknowledge the feeling of joy as well. Let's listen to an episode about how loneliness brings new opportunities (and new creations). Have a good listen in Mars.

  • EPISODE 3: Love Language of Independence

Welcome to another week on Mars. What were you up to this week? Excuse the kind of nasal voice and chickens in the background (I honestly don't know where the chicken sounds are coming from, I think I need to talk to my neighbor soon). But here's a deep talk on independence and how it breeds a new kind of love language. We're ending today with a little Shakespeare for all the classics out there.

See you on our next episode!

  • Poetry Reading: Edge by Sylvia Plath

Welcome to Mars! How is everyone? It has always made me sad (and yes, a little bit bitter) that female writers aren't quite recognized as most writers. This month we will focus on the poems of Sylvia Plath.

'Edge' has been described as a moving poem about a woman who committed suicide after killing her children  I always found this poem to be absolutely riveting. Though short, the use of its language is engaging. The stanzas were delivered with care. I hope you enjoy it too.

  • EPISODE 2: Hard-Ships in Mars

There are days when you don't what to think. These days, everything seems tougher than usual. But what should we do in response? Listen to another episode of 'Welcome To Mars!' this Monday. A little bit of rant, some stories, and a poem at the end. I hope the noises in the background won't trouble you too much.
