New treatment modalities such as tumor treating fields (TTFields) and innovative combination strategies are revolutionizing the therapeutic management of solid tumors. This new modality of alternating electric fields therapy is FDA approved in GBM and MPM and is paving the way for improved outcomes in other solid tumors. As this previously unrecognized antimitotic therapy with a unique mode of delivery continues to be combined with conventional cancer therapies, including surgery, systemic therapy, and radiation therapy, the oncology community will benefit from understanding the practical implications in the multidisciplinary management of cancer. This activity will feature a review of the cutting-edge advancements in cancer devices, as well as expert insights and case discussions on the appropriate care strategies for patients being treated with new modalities like TTFields therapy.
