Until a family friend suggested she apply, Maeve Collins-Tobin hadn't even considered going to Oxford University as the next Rhodes Scholar from Nfld and Labrador. Next October, she'll be packing up her bags

and heading off to the City of Dreaming Spires. Maeve grew up in St. John's. She's currently completing her final semester of a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management at Carleton University.
