On this episode, Dalton Trigg (@dalton_trigg) and Matt Galatzan (@matt_galatzan) are joined by their DallasBasketball.com colleague Grant Afseth to discuss the Ben Simmons saga, and whether or not trading Kristaps Porzingis to Philly for him would make sense. Overall talent and potential is one thing, but Simmons' fit, especially when it comes to being paired with Luka Doncic, specifically, would likely depend on how open Simmons would be to playing a role that doesn't involve being a full-time point guard. From there, the guys give their takes on if they think John Wall should be on the Mavs' buyout watch and Doncic potentially taking yet another big leap in Year 4. Thanks for listening!

On this episode of Mavs Step Back LIVE on the Fireside app, Dalton Trigg (@dalton_trigg) is joined by his friend Ruben, more widely known as @RedditMavericks on Twitter, to discuss a number of Dallas Mavericks related topics. After being linked to him many times before the 2017 NBA Draft, the Mavs and Frank Ntilikina finally joined forces this week as he signed a two-year minimum deal. What kind of impact could he have? Could this mean another current Maverick could be cut in the near future? From there, Dalton and Ruben talk about how Luka Doncic could be taking the "Hookah Doncic" social media teasing personally, and why that could be a good thing for the start of this upcoming season. Thanks for listening!

On this episode, Dalton Trigg (@dalton_trigg) and Matt Galatzan (@matt_galatzan) discuss a handful of topics, including all of the questions that were submitted to our Mavs Step Back Mailbag by listeners this week. Given the latest developments on Tuesday, is the Goran Dragic to Dallas dream dead? Like last year, Luka Doncic is yet again the odds on favorite to win MVP this season, but will the Mavs be good enough to allow that to actually happen this time around? Will Doncic's league-high usage rate eventually take its toll on him if the Mavs don't address it in the near future? We answer all these questions and much more on this week's episode.

On this episode, Dalton Trigg, Matt Galatzan and Grant Afseth assess the Dallas Mavericks offseason so far. Although the Mavs didn't live up to their free agency expectations that were set by owner Mark Cuban, the team still improved on the margins going into next season, and the guys discuss each of those moves and how the new signees Reggie Bullock and Sterling Brown can have an immediate impact next season. The Mavs did improve overall, but Mavs fans are still justified in feeling let down, especially given that the main offseason objective, which was to add a secondary playmaker to take some of the load off of Luka Doncic, has still not been addressed. Can Dallas fill that void before the start of the season?
