It’s wild, but the Phillies and Mets haven’t played a truly meaningful series in September since 2008.

But it’s finally happening again this weekend at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are trying to clinch their first NL East title since 2011, which could happen next week. The Mets are trying to make the postseason, following a brutal start. These teams will meet again for a four-game series next weekend at Citi Field.

Both series could be a preview of a potential matchup in the NLDS or NLCS.

It should be fun.
