The Dragon Boat Festival falls on May 5th of lunar calendar. It is a traditional holiday in China. This festival commemorates the death of the poet and minister Qu Yuan (340BC–278 BC) of the ancient state of Chu during the Warring States Period.
A notable part of celebrating Duanwu is making and eating zongzi with other family members. People traditionally wrap zongzi in leaves of bamboo, lotus or banana which give a special aroma and flavor to the sticky rice and fillings. 
端午节，为每年农历五月初五，是中国的传统节日，这个节日是纪念春秋战国时期的诗人和大夫屈原的。
端午节非常重要的一部分就是和家人一起吃粽子包粽子。人们一般用传统的方法来包粽子，用竹叶，荷叶或是香蕉叶来作皮，这样可以把叶子上的香味浸入到糯米和馅当中。

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Though many countries in Europe and the Americas have adopted the U.S. date, which is the third Sunday of June (falling on June 17 in 2018), it is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March, April and June.
父亲节是感恩父亲的节日，庆祝父亲这个身份，父子关系或是父亲在社会上的影响。尽管欧洲很多国家以及美国都采用美国版本的父亲节，也就是每年六月的第三个周日，但还是有许多不同的国家或是地区的父亲节在不是六月的第三个周末，多数都安排在了三月份，四月份或是六月份的某天。
In People's Republic of China, the official Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June and is not a public holiday（公休假日）. This date was set according to international norms.
Prior to the People's Republic, when the Republic of China (1912-1949) governed from Nanjing, Father's Day was celebrated on August 8. This was determined by the fact that the eighth (ba) day of the eighth (ba) month makes two "eights" (八八, ba-ba), which sounds similar to the colloquial word for "daddy" (ba-ba，爸爸). 
我国台湾地区将父亲节订於每年的八月八日，又称为「八八节」。这是因为「八八」和爸爸相近，而且「八八」两字连缀起来，又好像一个「父」字，所以父亲节特别被订於八月八日。
