With every relationship, we hope to learn something from it...right? Whether it's good, bad or great, it all should be educational in the end. So what once we learn from these past relationships, how do we apply the lesson to future ones? What are some of the red flags to look for when dealing with someone new?  Should we be concerned with how much money they make, their level of education or even how they respond to challenges encountered throughout the course of the relationship? Here we go again to finish off 2019 with a new series of podcasts titled "Caveman To Todays Man". This series of podcasts is strictly relationship-based and will be a two-part series with the topic of Part 1 "Being Responsive, Not Responsible For Your Spouse."  I am joined on this podcast with Ali, Alayah, Rocky, Abdul, Wadood and my father (John A Shabazz). We talk about being responsible for your spouse's debt, advice on how to handle household bills, disagreements, being emotional and much more.

This podcast series will end our 2019 year, but MSO figured we would give you a taste of what is yet to come! Also, this is the first podcast recorded out of the studio and on location remotely. It went well.

How do you know if you are secure in your relationship? How do you know if you are loving the person you're with correctly? Do they even know your "love language"? Did you see unconditional love growing up? If so or not, how does that impact your relationship today? Well, I am honored to have a number of guests on this podcast. I'd figured I would try something different by having multiple guests (11 total) to give a collaborative effort on this subject. We hear the different opinions from Generation X, Millenials and Baby Boomers. You will be amazed at how heated the conversation gets. This show was recorded on Thanksgiving and I am joined by my family and friends. Joining me are Ali, Quick, Steve, Rhiana, K, Alayah, Brandon, Jacqueline, Trey, Kyla, and John Shabazz - my father).  This podcast was recorded on Thanksgiving 2019. Also, what makes this show interesting is that I am joined by all of my daughters for the first time. They actually give me an education on how they saw love from their parents (good, bad and ugly) growing up. What a shocker for me. Listen in...we all learned something!

Each one details how some of the basic things in life, that really aren't complicated are missed by the masses. These are just everyday items that people should know. You will be amazed at what's shared. What makes this so interesting is that they touch on topics we all can relate to.

Dating is always a challenge. The dating game has changed a whole lot since I was single (roughly 11 years ago). So with that being said, I had the pleasure of having our three special guests (Nikki, Quick and Steve) on the show with this episode. They offered their insights on this subject. We discussed meeting people - whether it's online, at a social event or even out in public. We speak on the challenges of being individuals being truthful and catfishing as well. Thereafter we touch on dating itself and some of the components that can lead to a healthy relationship and also some deal-breakers. Lastly, we talk about the Five Love Languages (Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts,  Quality Time and Physical Touch). What's yours?

Also, we are so excited that MSO had its very first female on our podcast to join in on the conversation adding her thoughts on the subject of dating.

Sometimes in life, we are thrown curveballs. We have the option to watch it fly past us or take a swing and try to connect successfully for that big hit. That's sort of what this podcast is all about. That pitch was thrown, and out of it came a home run! In this podcast, Bazz is being interviewed by a previous guest (Breeze) on a new discovery that took place a year ago. The discovery was learning that Bazz had another daughter. This is a child he never knew existed and through Ancestry DNA Kit he found out after 29 years. So for most of his adult life, Bazz has loved and claimed his three daughters, but now we have a new addition to add to the mix. Nevertheless, the focus here is to help our male listeners who are in similar situations become better men and own up to their obligations of being fathers. So listen in, you'll be surprised by what you will hear!

Every once in a while we like to have 1 on 1 discussion with guests, so we can just tap into their minds to understand what they think, how they feel, say or even might do from the subjects we discuss. This episode we are talking about decisions. We make them every day, and we don't really understand how some of the decisions we make impact everyone around us. So we invited Tory Terrell owner of Headquarters Barbershop, located in Indianapolis, IN. because he deals with all kinds of people on a daily basis and some of the decisions he makes not only impact his family but his customers as well. So listen in and hear him share how he lost his younger brother, when Tory got shot and almost died, and how he decided to take on the responsibility of his two sons and newly married wife with a 3-year-old...Its a great discussion.
