On this episode, we discuss the use of hormone therapy in perimenopausal/menopausal women. We give some background information as well as labs that should be monitored. We then separate the therapy options based on whether the patient is experiencing vasomotor symptoms, vulvovaginal symptoms, or a combination of both. We close by reviewing the results of the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) study.
