Right now, our outlets for stress and ways to enjoy ourselves has decreased dramatically.
No group sports, shows, movies, friends or even seeing your close family is on the cards ay the moment.
As a result food can and has easily become our source of joy, comfort, sense of calm, and a temporary distraction from the stressors of our world.
But why do we love JUNK food?
When we eat or even just THINK about food, our brain releases dopamine, our desire chemical, and endorphins, feel-good chemicals.
So when we eat chocolate or high sugar refined food, there is an increase in these feel-good hormones which are why you want to eat more of this same food.
When you eat a piece of cooked chicken breast, you don’t get the same feel-good hormones being released hence you are NOT so bothered about eating these foods!!!
So, how do you overcome Boredom Eating while being in a LOCKDOWN?
