Les Bubka Sensei, is a UK-based karate instructor, author, and mental health advocate originally from Poland. He is known for his inclusive, learner-centered approach to teaching karate and is the founder of the organization “Karate for Mental Health,” which promotes the benefits of martial arts for mental well-being and supports disadvantaged students. Bubka has written books such as Anxious Black Belt and The Dark Side of Karate, focusing on the intersection of karate and mental health. He is also recognized for adapting his teaching to support neurodiverse and disabled students, fostering a supportive and accessible training environment.
