Three or four times a year the planet Mercury appears to be moving backwards as we see it from Earth. This is known as mercury retrograde.

Astrologically Mercury represents communication, business, in the element of air.

Like the moon affects the tides on the earth, other planets affect other energies that are more subtle.

When Mercury is retrograde it is not the best time for starting completely new projects. Often you may need to review, revise, and rewrite things many times during the retrograde.
