This week, I’m answering a question I get all the time—what do you do with a so-called “bad placement” in astrology?

You might have a difficult planetary placement like a debilitation or a tough transit coming up like sade sati and you’ve heard about things like chanting mantras, wearing gemstones, doing rituals, fasting, wearing certain colors, and so on… but what actually works?

In this episode, I share what I’ve found to be the most effective Vedic astrology remedies—based not just on the texts and tradition, but on real-world experience doing 1-1 readings and my own personal practice. I’ll walk you through when to use a remedy, how to choose one, and the real reason why some remedies work for one person but not another.

Here’s the thing: remedies aren’t about magically fixing your chart. They’re about creating the conditions for the positive expression of a planetary energy to emerge—through intentionality, practice, and personal alignment.

I start this episode by looking back at the last times Jupiter was in Gemini—1989, 2001, and 2013. What were you going through then? What themes are resurfacing now? For me, the 2013–2014 period was one of the biggest growth spurts of my life. I have Moon and Ascendant in Gemini, so this transit is hitting home for me—and maybe it is for you too.

Jupiter is the Guru, the one who brings light into darkness. It’s called the Great Benefic, and it protects life on Earth, both astrologically and astronomically. I share how this shows up not just in your chart but in the physics of our solar system—pulling in comets and asteroids before they ever reach Earth. That same protective pull can be felt in your life this year too, if you learn how to listen to it.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury—Buddhi, or intellect. So Jupiter in Gemini brings up the friction between logic and intuition, intellect and inner knowing. You might find yourself questioning your gut feelings more than usual, second-guessing intuitive decisions, or even swinging between impulsiveness and overthinking. This can be incredibly frustrating—but also an opportunity to grow.

This is one of the most auspicious weeks of the whole year — a very special sacred day is happening alongside a New Moon and an exalted Moon.

The week kicks off with the New Moon in Bharani Nakshatra in Aries — a fresh start, new beginnings, and a great time for planting seeds. Both literally and metaphorically. Planting seeds, cutting hair, setting intentions — it’s all extremely favorable under this New Moon.

But the big event this week is Akshaya Tritiya on Wednesday, April 30th — considered the most auspicious day of the entire year in the Vedic tradition. Whatever you do on this day is believed to have infinite blessings going forward. It’s a powerful day for donation, service, and setting intentions for the kind of life you want to create.

I encourage you to use this energy intentionally:

✨ Want more freedom? Give yourself spaciousness that day.

✨ Want more self-care? Schedule a massage, a nourishing meal, a day of relaxation.

I’ll walk you through a simple Ideal Life Visualization practice you can do this week. Just 10 minutes to imagine waking up in your dream life: where you are, who you’re with, what you do throughout your day. This practice changed my life — it took years, but I eventually manifested a life even better than what I visualized: living by the ocean in Mexico, doing work I love with amazing people like you.

The Moon will also be exalted in Rohini Nakshatra on April 29th — a double dose of fertile, creative, nurturing energy. It’s a beautiful window to do self-care, create art, spend time in nature, romance, music, and sensory nourishment.

There’s a lot of dreamy Pisces energy this week too: Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Saturn, and Rahu are all still in Pisces. Perfect for imagination, spiritual exploration, and dreamwork. Plus, we’re nearing some major cosmic shifts:

• Jupiter is wrapping up its transit through Taurus.

• Rahu and Ketu are about to change signs too.

• We’re ending the cycle of Ketu in Virgo and Rahu in Pisces, which means now is a time to review what you’ve learned about spiritual surrender and releasing control.

Mars is still debilitated in Cancer — not the best time for pushing yourself physically to extremes but a great time for nurturing, protection, and service. Therapeutic yoga, massage, volunteering — these things are beautifully supported now.

And Pluto in Capricorn continues to ask us to transform the deep structures of our lives. I’ll share why working on your subconscious beliefs now is incredibly potent — and how astrology, yoga, family constellations, and therapy can support this inner transformation.

Everything in Vedic Astrology starts with one thing: your birth information—the time, date, and place of your birth. That’s how your natal chart is cast. It tells you about the karmas playing out throughout your life. But that’s not the end of the story.

Every year on your birthday, the sky realigns in a special way, giving you a new chart for that year, called the Varshphal chart (also known as the solar return or annual chart). This episode is a deep dive into the five major things you want to look at in your annual chart to understand the themes and energies you’re working with for your personal new year. Whether you’re getting a reading from me or anyone else, these five insights will help you understand the year ahead much more clearly.

4. Transits

   Transits shape what’s happening for everyone, but your rising sign and chart will tell you how it plays out for you. Virgo risings right now? You’ve got five planets transiting your 7th house—major karma coming through in your relationships this year. Transits are crucial for timing and clarity.

5. The Dasha

   Your dasha is your chapter of life. Are you in a Rahu dasha? Expect passion, drive, even obsession. Venus dasha? It might be time for love, beauty, or kids. Ketu dasha? A spiritual deep dive. I give a quick breakdown of each one and how to start interpreting them in your own chart.

It’s officially the end of the eclipse portal. On Saturday, April 12th, we have a powerful Full Moon in Chitra Nakshatra, in the sign of Virgo — marking the celebration, the culmination, and the completion of everything you’ve been moving through over the past six weeks. The following day, Sunday, April 13th, is massive: Venus goes direct after her long retrograde journey that began March 2nd, and the Sun moves into Aries, beginning a fresh new solar cycle.

April 2025 is a major turning point in the year—and in this episode, I walk you through why.

We’re coming out of the deep, emotional work of March and the eclipse portal, and slowly entering a new cycle of clarity, direction, and heart-centered action.
