Jeremiah 23 makes a great contrast between good and poor shepherds before arriving at the following: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land (23:5). That branch is the Lord Jesus Christ, and He is our shepherd and our righteousness. Enjoy our second sermon from this Advent.

We take a break from Exodus this December to focus on the coming Christ child. We do so first with a look at Isaiah 40. From there, Rob invites us to see our privilege, our obligation, this Christmas: to behold our Shepherd King. To see the one who comes to seek, save, and sustain us. Enjoy and be encouraged by this first message of Advent.

On the Sunday following Thanksgiving, we look at how the author of Psalm 136 thanks God for who He is, what He’s made, and what He does, and how we are to offer our praise for his enduring, steadfast love.

In continuing through Exodus, Rob asks an important question to consider: Why are we of little faith? In examining ourselves we may find that we, like Pharaoh in pursuit of the Israelites, are in the wrong position with the wrong perspective. Perhaps Moses’ words to the Israelites can help us. He says in 14:13, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today.” We hope you will be blessed by this message from Exodus 14.

In the same way that God never left his people during their wilderness wandering, leading them by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of cloud by night, He is always with us today. Tune in for our latest sermon from Exodus.

As the Israelites were enslaved to the Egyptians, we are enslaved to our sin. Interestingly enough, what saved the Israelites is what saves us today - the blood of the lamb. Listen to our latest sermon as we discuss the Lord’s Passover from Exodus 12.

In our latest sermon, we consider a question that naturally arises when we read that God hardened Pharaoh’s heart in Exodus 10. Is this fair? RC Sproul says this: “For God the righteous judge of all the earth to coerce a human being to do evil and then punish that human being would be a gross injustice and the occasion for evil in God.” In order to answer the question, Rob asks us to consider the context as well as the nature of God to see that God is just, that He judges to save, and that the plagues point to the One with saving power.
